Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

Alder Cottage is on a Local Wildlife Site and is well positioned for discovering the North Pennines National Landscape and the attractions of northeast England. Each season offers something new. The cottage provides all you need for a comfortable stay and with its electric heating and woodburning stove it is warm and cosy. EV charging on site.

Sycamore Farm Cottage (with garden dining area).

Sycamore Farm Cottage features 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms and a lovely country kitchen. This cosy cottage is ideal for both summer and winter stays with superb access to the adjoining Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.The cottage contains a unique mix of antique and vintage items. An alfresco dining area with gazebo has recently been completed in the lovely front garden to take advantage of the good weather.There are a number of games available to entertain incl. darts, dominoes and bowls.

Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.

Cosy 2 bed Weardale cottage

A charming cosy cottage, set in the heart of the village a stones throw from the village shop, pub and takeaway. The cottage can comfortably accommodate a family of four in one king bedroom (with freestanding roll top bath) along with a second cosy twin bedroom . There is a shower room and toilet on both floors. To the rear is a sunny enclosed courtyard and terrace. Wonderful walks are on the doorstep along with stunning views. Perfect for your four legged friends too.

The Oaks

The Oaks is attached to our home. It has its own private entrance from the outside and internal doors are locked. It is an ensuite room set out like a hotel room. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS OUR FAMILY HOME AND IS SUITED TO GUESTS WANTING A PEACEFUL GETAWAY.. Wooden stairs lead up to this first floor bedroom that has its own decked area with outside furniture to enjoy the fantastic views.
