The area is a good location to see northern lights and arctic animals. Here you can fish in the fjord that is icy 6 months a year, go mountain hikes in the nearby area or drive into Tromsø which takes about 30 minutes. View of magical mountains and sailing into Tromsø city. You can see some of the mountains in Lyngen Alps from the house. Here you can enjoy silence, relaxation, midnight sun in summer and northern lights and Arctic great skies in winter. 10 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes by car from the house to Tromsø City center. We recommend the use of a rental car.

Elvesus

You live 5 minutes from the airport, and yet in the countryside. A few metres from the sea and a river that flows into the sea here. Around the houses, you can spot many different animals. Reindeer often pass by. Moose can make a quick visit. Otherwise, otters and arctic weasels run around the houses. Seals swim in the sea, and dolphins occasionally. An excellent place to observe the Northern Lights - and if it's windless, they are also reflected in the sea. Tromsø city centre - bus, approx. 15 min.

Little flat where you can relax during your stay in Tromsø. Close to the mountain and the sherpastairs. If you are looking for a place where you can explore the nature around Tromsø this is perfect for you. You can go directly from the house to the mountain or into the valley of Tromsdalen, this will give you easy access to see the northern lights. It is a few minuts to the bus who takes you to the senter of Tromsø (10-15 min. by bus) and you can also walk (30-40 min)

Our house is situated on the appropriately named “whale island” (Kvaløya), just a short 15-20 minute drive to Tromsø city centre and 12 minutes to the airport (9km). This is a perfect location for those searching for a true Arctic experience, as the house is located at the main hub of Kvaløya. Dog and Reindeer sleddings are close by (3km). It is truly is the perfect place to appreciate northern Norway.
