Wij zitten op 650 meter hoogte, in een hete zomer is het altijd iets koeler dan in het dal en met een briesje, heel aangenaam. In de nacht koelt het meer af en is het lekker slapen. Een airco hebben wij niet nodig. Honden zijn welkom, € 15 per verblijf. Voor de winter is er een houtkachel. Wij leveren een kruiwagen met stookhout voor €15.

Het dorpje Conques-sur-Orbiel heeft een kleine supermarkt, een bakker, een pizzaria, restaurant la Maison en cocktailbar/restaurant Appa Lanka, een tabac en een wasserette. Dit is allemaal op loopafstand.
