On the grounds of the former school, we have built three guest cottages and a Goemon-style bathhouse, and we have also converted an unused classroom into a tent room, creating an exclusive accommodation for groups of up to 18 people.Please use it for close-knit families or small training camps, etc. Accommodation is room-only; meals are not provided.Please bring your own amenities, such as towels.Shampoo is only available at the Goemon bathhouse. Charges are based on the base rate plus the number of guests, so please make sure you provide the correct number of guests when you book. Due to its age, the iconic wooden school building is currently not accessible, but the grounds are spacious, and you are welcome to use the gymnasium, BBQ area and other facilities. Lots of reviews saying the location is inconvenient (lol).It is an abandoned school in the mountains of the countryside.Thank you for your understanding. This is the only place in Japan!An inn where you can rent out a nationally designated important cultural property.As it is limited to one group per day, the owner (landlord) will serve as a dedicated concierge for the guests (those staying). The Kimura family has two Important Cultural Properties. Meals are served in the main house, which was built in 1699. Guests will be able to stay in an old but new building (an important cultural property) that will be renovated by 2026. In Japan, there are four confirmed lodgings, including our home, that use nationally designated Important Cultural Properties.Of those, this is the only accommodation where you can rent the entire building. However, that's why you can experience a nostalgic time from the past that can only be found here.For guests staying for multiple days, such as 2 nights and 3 days, the host can also take them to sightseeing spots for a day.I can only speak Japanese, but I know how to converse with guests from any country using a translation tool.I know how to use words that are easy to translate. I like traveling.
