Eastbanks Bothy by Hadrian’s Wall - Pets Welcome

Tucked away on the “barbarian” side of Hadrian’s Wall on a Northumbrian hill farm, this stone cottage is a unique, self-catering hideaway for up to four people offering spectacular views, privacy and utter seclusion. Cosy and romantic, accessed via its own private gravel road across the fields, the Bothy is within easy walking of the dramatic central section of Hadrian’s Wall. The isolated rural nature of the Bothy is perfectly suited for couples, families and very remote remotely working!

An ‘Amazing Spaces’ inspired shipping container conversion, set in a peaceful secluded wildlife friendly garden, at the foot of the Pennine hills. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

The North Pennines, Solway Coast and Scottish Borders are all close too. With its panoramic views and fully enclosed garden it is also perfect for sitting back and relaxing.

Cosy shepherds hut on Hadrian’s Wall

A basic and cosy shepherds hut a few minutes walk from the Hadrian’s Wall trail, tucked away on a tiny campsite (Camping at Banks), a no vehicles site where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. The hut has a wood burning stove, bottom sheets and pillows. You can hire sleeping bags from us. There is a compost loo and outside sink but no shower or electricity. The hut is suitable for those arriving by foot or bicycle - there is NO PARKING on the site. Single night stays welcome!
