Boat holiday rentals in Thiérache

We stayed one night at Marteen's place. Spacious and original experience than sleeping in a houseboat! We would have liked to take a canoe ride but the owner was not available that day to help us get started. Just this little regret that would have made our stay perfect!

Very close to the city center, the accommodation is spacious and pleasant. Jean-Marie is passionate and is a facilitator. I recommend it.

We spent three nights at four in the cabin of the captain of the houseboat Lucie. This is an experience! A cocoon where it's good to get warm after visiting the Christmas markets of Ghent and Bruges (quickly served by the highway). We enjoyed making breakfast and dinner as the kitchen is very well equipped. The rooms are narrow but that's normal, we're on a boat! In the morning the view of the canal is very pleasant with the sunrise over the water and the frozen grass! The bedding is very comfortable and the shower room functional. We all enjoyed this experience, especially since the hosts are very welcoming and present on the boat. We recommend this accommodation to people who love the unusual with comfort!

The location of this houseboat can’t be beat! Also, for the location and money, you will not find more space available. It worked very well for our family of 5. Be sure to be outside at sunset…walk 20 seconds under the bridge and catch an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. We dined above deck most occasions and enjoyed the views of the river. The beds were comfortable and the shower was a delightful surprise as well. My 11 year old described it as a sensory overload with water coming at you from so many spouts…ha!. We loved it. Also, Therese and her family are super helpful with advice and help if questions or a need arose. The boat itself was made in 1931 and man, it is gorgeous. This thing would easily cost a fortune to construct today given the superb quality of the wood and craftsmanship. Keep in mind that you are staying on a boat and not in a hotel room and you will love it.

We stayed here in early November and had a brilliant time. Jan and Jerome were super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. They gave us local recommendations and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a stay in Antwerp that's a bit different to your usual Air BandB we would 100% recommend staying on Jan's boat!

After the Nausicaa visit, we are delighted with our stay on "La dame des lys " Very reassured by the safety of the place (for us and our car). We had a very good night and will not hesitate to return if needed.

One word - amazing! The place is unique, the host is very friendly and helpful, you have everything you need and more, not only is a perfect place to relax and stay but you have possibility to learn a lot about the boat and the sailing, and go sailing if you are interested in that. The shower is very good , bed very comfortable! I was welcomed with a strawberries and bottle of bubbels which is so kind and so nice of the owner ! The owner have a dog Patoo and Patoo is really a sweetheart, he’s very friendly and open for endless cuddles and long walks which is also very nice extra to your stay! If in doubt, book you definitely won’t regret! Once more, a big thank you to the owner who made my stay simply amazing! See you soon 😊🌊⚓️

Great experience! Something different than different. Clear explanation from Claire and instructions. The boat looked cozy and we cooked deliciously and sat outside with our wine. Everything works well. Bed is not for tall people, but it was lovely and nice and warm. Recommended.

Super stay in a calm neighbourhood. Been to the Olympics and it was wonderful to relax on the boat. Catherine is very responsive and super friendly. All questions answered quickly. Definitely recommended!

Lovely stay with Christophe. Beautiful location, everything was clean, and check in was easy. Watching the sunset and stars was wonderfully peaceful. Be aware that it is a boat so the bathroom is extremely small, and sleeps 4 might be a touch optimistic. I'd say it's safe to say sleeps 2 (singles) or 3 (with a partner) unless you have small kids.

Atypical stay on a very nice houseboat. Clean and pleasant accommodation. Perfect setting in nature. Well located for going to Paris by public transport. Free car parking nearby. We recommend.
