A great place to stay with family. Very near to all tourist attractions, restaurants... etc. Very well maintained property with clean living room, bathroom and balcony. Nitheesh is a great host - always approachable, very helpful, highly informed on the tourist places not just in thekkady, but even outside that and did suggest a few places to visit (with details) which are even 25 kms away. A high recommend for families..

I stayed at Aneesh's property for a week and it was an absolute delight! The hospitality was exceptional, with Aneesh and his family going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Aneesh has been super responsive, from the time of booking, to dropping me to the nearest bus stand. The highlight was the incredible home-cooked meal, which added a personal and unforgettable touch to our stay. Highly recommend for a warm and memorable experience!

Eight and a Half acres is a new facility in Vagamon. Located in Vagamon - Pullikkanam Estate road, just 3.5km away from the town, it is very calm, peaceful and brand new property. They have different constitutions of facilities. We stayed in Ava, the spacious room just above their restaurant. Wide and wall to wall windows connect you with the picturesque sorroundings. In the morning you are welcomed by rising sun from behind the mountain and in the evening you can bid farewell to the setting sun. Mr. Vipin the host is very pleasant always, helpful and concerned about our comfort and needs. The room is spacious, clean, uncluttered, and tastefully made. The bathroom is very spacious, enough room for a luxurious shower. I would suggest they provide shampoo & dental care accessories too in the package, may be a welcome drink too. Eight and a Half acres is a highly recommended affordable stay in Vagamon. I recommend it to the Airbnb community.

Unforgettable experience! No words to describe the hospitality! The stay exceeded all our expectations. The host family is THE best. If you are a nature lover and enjoys human relationships, look no where! The 10 acres farm has good walking trail, small fish pond, coconut tree climbing gear, couple of swings, fresh fruits, hens, rabbits, all varieties of spice plantations, lots of birds, many kinds of trees. The host was super kind to offer everything available on the farm. Food cooked by Seeniya was so delicious! I am not writing about the exact experiences to save the surprise element! I fell little sick one afternoon and I can never forget the way Mr. Soji has helped in getting me to the nearest best hospital in his own car, stayed with me for 4 hours at the hospital and got me back home after I got better! Praising God for the opportunity to meet such a wonderful family! If you are planning to buy some spices, they offer at the best price, don't waste your money elsewhere!

Very nice stay at Thekkedy with Shibu as a very helpful and nice host. Location is very perfect and nice as Periyer is at very close proximity. The view from our first floor balcony is gorgeous at night with beholding some animal movements in nature. Shibu is really helpful arranging auto rickshaw for Thekkedy sight seeing and a cab for Alleppey. Overall a superb one night stay and love to stay again. Highly recommend.

Awesome stay with stunning views from the rooms. Their continental food and buffet spread is fantastic. All activities like Cultural programmes ( Kuchipudi) , cooking classes in the evening, campfire and their high tea with a view were very thoughtful and much appreciative. Their swimming pool is neat and outside candle light dinner spot was good though couldn’t try as it needs to be pre booked before arrival. Courteous staffs especially Harish, Aleena and Maya in the reception were very helpful throughout the stay, they were kind and easily approachable. Room service were prompt and very reliable anytime. Overall a pleasant stay at Mountain courtyard and very memorable moments .

Staying at this ecostay in the heart of a spice garden was a truly wonderful experience. Surrounded by lush green leaves, the place offers a peaceful and refreshing retreat. The hospitality of the host, Uncle and Aunty, was exceptional—they were incredibly sweet, and we enjgoyed talking to them. The staff was also very helpful, making our stay even more comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home. One of the unique highlights was the cardamom plantation within the property, adding to the natural charm. If you’re looking to escape the hustle of Thekkady, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Waking up to the sounds of birds made our mornings even more delightful. Highly recommended for nature lovers!

From the moment we spoke with Lakshmy on the phone, we felt at home. The warmth and kindness of the family is palpable. I arrived with the idea that we may make a friend over the 4 days me and my partner were there and left feeling like a part of the family. As a guest you are welcome to do things alone; eating, exploring or just resting but after meeting our hosts it’s hard to stay away. We took towels and toiletries, and water bottles to refill. We had time to explore beautiful Kumily and go on some day hikes in the reserve. Lakshmy is so helpful when it came to us organising things. She speaks multiple languages, has written a beautiful book, does incredible work with/for young women in India and is an absolute delight to just simply sit and talk to. We can’t recommend this place enough. Be ready to slow down, live simply and connect with your surroundings. Enjoy!
