Property is a retreat center landscaped with gardens, flower beds and shaded decks. Nestled in the trees bordering national forest. Great hiking and biking trails outside our door. 10 minutes to Taos ski valley. 20 minutes to Taos plaza. Must be comfortable heating with wood stove, off grid water system, and sharing a bath house. AWD/4WD may be necessary if it snows.

The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious, gourmet free breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner.

This 1000sq.ft 1 bedroom casita is attached to the main house w/owner on premises, complete privacy & private keypad entrance. You will have: a king bed, A/C, kitchenette(not a full kitchen) for morning coffee, nearby museum & walking trails. A perfect location for exploring. The owners are former hotel/restaurant owners who love to share their love of Taos.

The Rock Art Retreat

A gorgeous estate full of colorful artwork and Native American petroglyphs inside private garden walls. This sprawling adobe home is surrounded by hundreds of acres of undeveloped land. It was built in the early 1800s by Spanish settlers and over time has been stunningly remodeled. Quixote’s Canyon is named as an homage to its Spanish history and the metal sculpture of famed Spanish literary character, Don Quixote, (yes, the windmill fighting guy) who welcomes you at the entrance.

A spacious king bed is adorned with decorative bedding, accompanied by a leather sofa and an elegant area rug. Natural light enters through a series of windows, and French doors open to a serene outdoor space. Exposed wooden beams add character to the warm interior.
