The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

The sleeping area is accessed via a ladder and is in the apex of the roof and has a double mattress and soft bedding with a window to enjoy the sunrise.

TINY HOME Railway Carriage No.1 - Stunning Views

At the end of a wooded lane through a farm gate are two converted 1930s cargo rail carriages. Recovered from the NE Railway they retain many original features while transforming these relics into cosy tiny houses. Carriage No. 1 is a light open-plan space with white washed tongue and groove walls and reclaimed school gym flooring. This little oasis of green is in a super handy location on the edge of the greenbelt, yet near the Team Valley, Metrocentre and Newcastle. There's a bus stop directly outside, with buses into central Newcastle every 30min in the day. Watergate Forest Park is right next door, with a fantastic cafe, lake, swans & lots of other wildlife. We're only a couple of miles from the C2C cycle route, with easy access to lots of other cycle routes & walks.
