The Melkstal

Experience the Farm Life at "Die Melkstal" Guesthouse! Our quaint guesthouse started its life as a three point cow milking parlor in the early 80's. The parlor has been converted into a three bedroom self catering guesthouse. Being situated 12km from the nearest town of Heidelberg Western Cape, Die Melkstal is fairly close to the Route 62 and the start of the Garden Route. With little to no selfone signal or Wi-Fi, you can relax and unwind without distractions!

Cadle Craft Cottage

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. With a memorable stay in the heart of the Montagu mountains. Walking distance from wedding venue and brandy distillery. You’ll stay amidst stunning orchards, hiking trails, bike trails, Kingna river and nature all around you. We’re 13km’s out of town, with 7km’s of smooth gravel road, and no reception. But rest assured, we do have wifi and an ice cold drink waiting for you at your stay.

The farmhouse is 30 yards from the river, and has an enchanting beautiful wind free outdoor lounge area on a jetty connecting you to the river. When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. With plenty of comforts this spot is paradise for children, dogs and a retreat for adults.
