Welcome to Pochirido, a private villa that means "beautiful furniture" in the Kochi dialect. This building, which was originally a cafe, has been renovated into an inn, and has an open space unique to a cafe. Please relax your mind and body under the stars and enjoy a peaceful retreat. There are insects because it is a house surrounded by nature, but you can enjoy a moment in nature to your heart's content. This area is also a mecca for river play, with plenty of activities such as rafting, canoeing, and shower climbing. Located in the heart of Shikoku, this town is characterized by its natural countryside and good access to the four prefectures of Shikoku. A convenience store and supermarket are 5 minutes by car, the tourist attraction Montbell Park is 10 minutes by car, and Kochi city center and Iya Valley can be reached in about 60 minutes. It is the perfect base for traveling in Shikoku. In addition, it is known as the production area of the legendary Tosa Akakushi beef, and it also boasts rice that has won the grand prize in rice competitions twice. A house in the middle of a forest. Enjoy mountain life in one of the few magnificent old houses built by Miyadaiku. At the house at the end of a fairytale forest road, you can BBQ, make a fire, boil a Goemon bath, and enjoy natural play that can only be experienced in the mountains. There are no street lights, and at night you can see the starry sky. Spending time feeling the mountain with all your senses, which can be seen in different ways depending on the season, reminds you of the rich, peaceful time that has been forgotten in modern times. Centered on a magnificent large pillar, it is an old house with earthen walls and built-in storage, but the first floor is covered with pure cedar boards, giving it a new feel. The water area features a newly built island kitchen and a large wash basin. The bath is a Goemon bath that uses both wood and gas, so you can cook with wood or use hot water. Outside the house, there is a friendly sign cat named Aosuke, who will come up to you if you are outside. It is located about 15 minutes by car from the Ishikari Mountain ropeway, making it easy to get to the mountains.

Natural house near Shimoda Station and the sea

20-minute walk from Shimonada Station. 3 minutes by car. We will pick you up and drop you off free of charge by car. It is a 13-minute walk from Kushi Station. It is a house with the sea right in front of you, a house behind the Shioji restaurant, and a convenience store within a 30-second walk. Of course, the entire house is rented. It can accommodate up to 6 people. The sea and the mountains are beautiful in Shimonada. There is a small private beach in front of the house. I think those who love nature will enjoy it. Easy access to Aoshima, famous on Nekoshima.　 First, from Shimonada Station to JR Iyoh Nagahama Station, 15 minutes.　Departs 1:44 pm, arrives→　1:59 pm　 From JR Iyoh Nagahama Station, it is about a 1-minute walk to Nagahama Port, where you can take a liner. The afternoon ferry departs from Nagahama Port at 2:30 pm and arrives at Aoshima at 3:05 pm, and departs from　→　Aoshima at 4:15 pm and arrives at Nagahama at 4:50 pm (you can stay at Aoshima for about an hour)　 Anyone can enjoy it, whether you're traveling alone, as a couple, or with your family.

The owner, who knows the area well, will provide activities such as playing in the river, canoeing, hunting, and secret river play spots, so you can have a slightly different stay. Whether you're with your family, fishing, traveling alone, or staying overnight, we can accommodate a wide range of requests. There is a small river and a nice old house of Japanese style next to the house .The tool of the barbecue is prepared. （Please bring an ignition agent and charcoal） it's comfortable in summer as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

Our guest house is located in Tosayama, in a natural mountainous area, about 20 mins' drive from the centre of Kochi City. You can jump into a clear river with 1 min's walk! The building is a 70-year-old house self-renovated by us, where you can feel the old local culture of Japan. We offer a variety of activities to experience the nature and culture of the Tosayama, such as visiting shrines known only to locals, trekking tours to deep forest.
