Here, it feels like you're in the countryside, yet still in town. You stay in peace and quiet, without a TV, by Lake Varpan, just 2.5 km to Lugnet Ski Stadium and 4 km to Falun city center. You are 600 meters from the forest and Lugnet Nature Reserve. Swim in the lake from the jetty in the summer or take a dip in an ice hole in the winter. A wood-fired sauna is available. Bring your own wood if you want to use the sauna. In winter, if weather and wind permit, there may be a plowed skating rink/walking path on the lake, and cross-country ski trails are usually groomed then as well.

Cosy farmhouse near the forest and lake

We have renovated our farmhouse with knowledge of building maintenance, environment and sustainability. The beautiful colours of egg oil tempera adorn the walls and genuine linseed oil paint is a matter of course in a house from the late 1800s. Nice tiled stoves heat nicely and the kitchen is large and spacious In winter, there are great conditions for cross-country and downhill skiing at Romme alpine. An approximately 8 km long skating rink is plowed on our lake with access approximately 100 metres from the farm. The house is located near the towns of Falun and Borlänge.

The house is located on the quieter side of the stadium, which means you avoid the worst traffic during competitions. On the property, there are horses and cats.

Relax in this unique and peaceful accommodation. Apartment for rent. Newly built in 2019. 150 m to Elljusspår, outdoor gym and the start of Vildmarksleden. 1 km to Dössberget's inn and the fairy tale trail. Gammelgården is located in a nice village called Övermyra/Österberg, 2 km east of Storvik. Distance to nearby towns is Sandviken 13 km, Kungsberget 18 km, Gävle 36 km. Bus stop, 4-minute walk. The timber house is in Ottsjö Jämtland and was saved from being torn down when it was moved here. The interior design is unique with Swedish historical furniture and objects.
