The perfect place for exploring the north of Shetland mainland and the outlying islands. This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. There are two entrances so your stay will remain private. The View is on a small estate

Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Ulsta Chalet with stunning views

The white, wooden two bedroom bungalow is situated in Ulsta where the inter- island ferry arrives in Yell and departs for Toft on the Mainland. There are stunning views over Yell Sound and beautiful sunsets can be seen from the lounge and kitchen windows. The front bedroom has one double bed and one single. The back bedroom has bunk beds and a single bed. Washing machine and outside drying line. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a shower room. There is ample parking and a garden.

East-Gate Selfcatering

East-Gate was built new in 2018 the property is located in central Shetland and beautifully finished. Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Scarpoe's Kitchen, Herra, Yell, Shetland

Scarpoe's Kitchen is an ancient "Kytja" house in the beautiful island of Yell, in Shetland. It has been completely restored and is offered as a high quality and unique place to stay. The former crofthouse is the perfect spot to get away from it all. It is easy to lose yourself in “da Herra,” a magical place where ancient legends of giants and trolls abound. In this peaceful location on a croft that’s got sheep and hens you will be located at Swinister which is situated at Ronas Voe near Ollaberry and Hillswick villages. The traditional croft house is divided into two self catering houses each with completely separate entrances and facilities. Ideal location for exploring Ronas Hill, Eshaness, Uyea and Fedaland to name only three of the Shetland beauty sites. There are fresh water lochs close by used by trout fishermen.

Bedrooms are both upstairs, one room has a double bed and another one has 2 singles. Washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer all in the porch.

Wethersta Cottage is located on the Shetland mainland and is ideally situated for exploring all parts of Shetland. Conveniently situated near the village of Brae, easy driving distance to anywhere in Shetland. Our cosy cottage is deceptively spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms., kitchen/diner, lounge area, shower room, decking area and large parking area. Small pets are welcome, as long as they are house trained, and you tidy up after them.

Midfield Croft Ollaberry Shetland Islands

My house is on a working croft or small farm. We have sheep, hens, and you may meet one of our working dogs. The area is very quiet. A safe place to relax and enjoy the local wildlife. Great walking country and stunning local scenery. Dogs are welcome by arrangement -there is a secure garden. Please note that this is a working croft, so please keep dogs under control.
