This was our first visit to the Norway; traveling from North Carolina, USA. Åshild's place was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful and clean. Perfect location for exploring the area. She was the perfect host, there if we needed her but not intrusive. We'd stay here again if we're ever back in the area. Highly recommend.

A beautiful apartment overlooking the water. Great layout. The host described everything perfectly. 10 min walk to the city. It's a pity we couldn't stay longer.

We were so happy with our 3-night stay at Linda’s home (5 adults). It was a perfect introduction to our Norway vacation. Very clean, quiet, comfortable beds, great shower, everything we needed in the kitchen (though we did not cook anything except a frozen pizza). The view was spectacular and Linda’s gardens were so lovely. She was the perfect hostess…friendly and conversational when engaged but certainly not overshadowing. This was one of my favorite Airbnb stays! Highly recommend! Thank you, Linda!

Jan was a great host who communicated really well. The space is a big and well-appointed apartment that was close to everything but felt quiet and private. We would definitely recommend it!

Excellent accommodation, very pleasant, easy communication with William Fredrik. Everything is quiet and the whole place is well equipped, as described and very clean. The quality/price ratio is quite favourable. Very well located accommodation provided you have a car. But a bus service exists to reach Alesund.

True to the photos, my son and I had a wonderful stay. The view from the terrace overlooks the fjords SYLVIE HELEN's husband is always welcoming, available and even printed out activities for us to do. The gentleman offered to take us back to the central station for our departure, letting us choose our schedule. I recommend this location and its owners 10/10. Thank you very much, sir.

Beautiful house! It looks even better than the pictures and is so spacious. We loved using the multiple seating areas, both inside and outside - especially the upstairs deck. The ferry into Alesund, just a few minutes walk away, made going into the city a breeze. Pippi is adorable and more than happy to jump onto your lap before heading out on her adventures again.

Nice and cozy house in a quiet area, with what is needed of amenities, plenty of space and nice views. Monica responded quickly to messages, was very friendly, flexible and helpful. Very easy check in/check out, and convenient with a smart lock when we were six guests coming and going to different times. Well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, good beds and spacious living room/kitchen. Very convenient to have all the sheets, towels and necessary items included. Would love to come back :)

Ingeborg's place is wonderful, amazing views of the fjords and close to Ålesund as well. The place itself was very clean and had everything we needed. The views from the house were spectacular and we can't wait to visit Norway again!

Amazing home in an ideal location. Close to the best fjords and close to Alesund. I’ve been traveling Europe for a long time and never found a more kid friendly home. This place would be great for anyone, but it would be truly tragic to visit this area with children and miss out on this home. With the playground five steps out the front door and and so many toys and amenities for children it’s a no brainer. Daniel was the best host as well. I can’t wait to come back someday!

We loved our stay at Yvonne's home. It was a beautiful house with an amazing view. Yvonne and her husband, Sverre, were great hosts and extremely responsive. The location was great with easy access to groceries, restaurants, hiking, and fjords. We had a wonderful time.

Super convenient location. Great deal with two big bedrooms and a nice balcony. We recommend bringing your own toiletries (shower soap, laundry detergent). Place is carpeted (white carpets) which is good to note for little kids. Perfect for adults. Overall amazing host and great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Elisabeth's place in Alesund. The place was super clean, is very well setup and had everything we needed for our weeklong stay and preparing meals. The location was great and the views were fantastic! Even more importantly, Elisabeth was a very nice host and always responsive and helpful. The soundbar speakers were also a nice bonus. The only small downside was that it was very hot in the bedroom and the windows could only be opened about 10cm which didn't cool the place, even with a fan running. The choice for sleeping was between keeping the shades and doors open for ventilation, or having a hot, dark room for sleeping. Even with quality eye masks, it was hard to balance the bedroom conditions. Just a heads-up, there is some noise from above of even late at night (walking loudly). Despite this, the place was great and we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing home, perfect fit for a family and not far from downtown Alesund. We fell in Love with Pepper the cat 🐱 my brother would go for a walk to the beach around the corner every morning.

This place is a rare opportunity to stay in a beautifully restored historic home for which Alesund is known. And also so comfortable that we spent a day there just enjoying it. The floors, the open sunny rooms and the views! It is conveniently situated close to the center and yet set apart so that it is quiet, and a respite after a busy day. I expect that it is often booked (the kitchen utensils were well used), so I would recommend snagging this home if you can. The hosts are as wonderful as this place. Enjoy!
