Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Sudden Valley

We loved our stay here at Coal Creek Cottage... Kids played, we had a nice walk up the road, loved the Jacuzzi, fire and s'mores... But best of all was the finest kitchen I have ever seen at an Airbnb... It's like they put the best of everything in there, definitely everything you could possibly need and the gas range is pretty awesome... Everything was great and beautiful not a single problem... we will definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had an amazing stay. We have a HUGE family and were able to have a wonderful graduation weekend celebration. Everything is exactly as advertised, Wendy reached out in advance to check on us. The space was clean and well stocked with cooking equipment and utensils for a family gathering. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Part of me wants to say the place is awful, because then it will have more availability for when I want to come back. Because truthfully, it’s stunning. I didn’t want to leave. Gorgeous, well-stocked with spices and cooking oil and the like, plus it’s clean and well taken care of. Incredible views greeting you every hour of the day. Host is communicative but not annoying. Just an absolutely perfect place to stay. Book it. You’ll love it!

Amazing stay with family. Idyllic surrounds. The lake is gorgeous - we swam and kayaked every day - my grandsons loved fishing. Everything is well stocked. Superb setting and host. Serene and family vacation perfection.

Fantastic stay and delivered the solitude in nature that I was looking for. It was a great way to experience the San Juans. The view was stunning, the access to the beach was stellar, and one of the best ways to spend a few days relaxing. The loaner vehicle was perfect to get us from dock to house. Reminder, for anyone looking to book this airBNB, please be mindful of what you pack and bring as there is no store to quickly run to if you forgot something. Also, you need to pack out your recyclables & non-compostables. Overall, would stay again and have already recommended it to others as an Eco-friendly vacation destination.

We loved our stay at Lindsey's place! The location on the lake is stunning and so peaceful. We barbecued on the porch and had campfires every night. Memorial Day weekend the lake was cold but we still enjoyed kayaks and paddleboards. Perfect way to disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature.

We loved our stay at the cottage! The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Lowell was a truly fantastic host. The location was close to so many beautiful natural places. We couldn't have been happier with our time at this lovely cottage in the woods!

Condo was perfect for our needs. Modern, clean, better equipped than most. Close to restaurants and the beach. Great area for dogs just outside the door. Responsive host.

We were a group of three couples with two kids between us, and the house was perfect for us (air hockey was a hit, as were the spectacular views). When the door code didn’t work on our way in, the agents helped us right away — very responsive.

We felt very welcome into their vacation condo. The details made towards insuring our comfort, down to bottled water upon arrival and more was much appreciated. A bottle of white wine and Godiva chocolates were placed on the kitchen island along with the parking cards...a nice welcome to the condo. The unit was very clean and cozy. The convenience of walking to Father's Day brunch and later to dinner was perfect. Sherri and Dan sent a lengthy welcome message to us 48 hours prior to arrival, listing the restaurants, coffee houses and their proximity. The communication was great. Jackie was lovely and welcomed our group to her home. The location was quiet (other than animal sounds and children staying in the tent) and very peaceful. The perfect place to stay and check out the surrounding towns.

Ken is fabulous and responsive. The home is in a private community, very quiet and walkable to trails.

Beautiful home tucked in on the banks of the Skagit River, with gorgeous views of Mt Baker. Highly recommend this place if you are wanting a comfortable home just outside of North Cascades.

This was the perfect home base for our family’s first visit to Bellingham. It was cozy and had everything we needed. The host was friendly and gave us a warm greeting upon arrival. They made up the fold out bed with super comfy blankets for our kiddos who also loved making a fort in the bedroom closet and soaking in the hot tub. The place is far enough away from the tracks that the trains didn’t bother us. Right out the door we easily walked to the wonderful beach and tide pools at Larabee, rode bikes all the way to town or the many mountain bike trails in the area via the Interurban Trail. I ran one of my most memorable trail runs in the world up to Fragrance lake and along the ridge trail on Chuckanut with views of the islands and mt. Baker. We’ll definitely return to Bellingham and will consider staying here again, thank you!

I booked my stay a day before arrival, and let the host know I wouldn't be in until late. Robert was responsive and polite. I arrived about 11pm and the directions and pictures that were provided made it super easy to get to my room quickly and quietly. The room was clean and exactly as pictured. I loved that this room had its own private deck with a couple chairs and a table. The hot tub I found to be already running, I just had to lift the cover and slide in. The views of the islands and mountains in the distance just makes this whole place so serene, and I loved the overall marine theme with this property. The only drawback is that the property is right on a main road, so there can be a lot of road noise depending on the time of day. But don't let that stop you from checking out this little slice of heaven. I would definitely book this property again.

Beautiful cabin with so much to do! Such a comfortable get away with a peaceful neighborhood. The cabin was close to trails and delicious restaurants. Salena was so quick and responsive to any questions we had and was an amazing host! We will definitely come back again!

Place was very clean and a good location. However keep in mind, there is another rental right above you. You will inevitably hear noise coming through the ceilng no matter how quiet the occupants above you are. They will also have to walk past your "private patio" whenever they come and go.

Ben and Ashley’s rental in Sudden Valley is a wonderful place to retreat after exploring and playing in and around Bellingham. The house was spacious, clean, and tastefully appointed. There were lots of comfy spots to sit inside, a big table for dining or a game of cribbage, and even a media room in the basement. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the large wrap around deck lounging in the Adirondack chairs or eating at the outdoor table while admiring the tall conifers and beautiful blooming dogwood trees on the perimeter of the yard. The three bathrooms, each equipped with showers, were more than ample for our family’s needs. And our corgi had a relaxing stay in the beautiful fenced yard with lots of shade from the surrounding trees. The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of amenities, from a set of sharp kitchen knives in the drawer to ice in the freezer. We had a wonderful stay in Ashley and Ben’s oasis on Lake Whatcom, and I would highly recommend it!
