Pictures don’t do it justice! The place is super adorable and relaxing. Great views and vibes. Personal touches that make you feel like you’re visiting a friends home instead of an Airbnb. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay. The location was private and relaxing. The home was well stocked with all the amenities. Having the lake and kayaks available was perfect. Summer evenings under the stars and fireflies. Host was responsive and friendly. Look forward to staying again!

Alex’s home was a vintage design beauty! You could tell how much thought and detail he put into his home. The amenities were wonderful, including a gorgeous living room, great sound system, well-stocked kitchen, outdoor wood burning chimney, BBQ, and bucolic tree-surrounded hot tub (which we loved). But the best part was Alex himself. What a nice guy! He welcomed us at check-in with delicious freshly baked sourdough bread and homemade ginger cookies later in our stay. He also gave us fantastic advice on things to do in the area. Overall, you’ll love this home nestled in the CT woods!

We had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend at lakeside landing! The house itself is a 10 out of 10, absolutely adorable and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was sooo comfy and the views are just amazing! We enjoyed paddling around the lake during the day and the fire pit and hot tub at night! We didn’t leave the house once!! Highly recommend:)

The place is overall awesome - just don’t miss the fact there isn’t air conditioning - I didn’t notice that in the listing, and there happened to be a hot day. The hot tub isn’t quite private. One set of neighbors or folks turning down the side road can see you. However, it was very comfortable, especially on a cool evening.

We had a wonderful stay at David & Nicki’s place and especially enjoyed the cozy cabin vibes, multiple gathering spots in the house and beautiful grounds! The cabin was outfitted with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We found it to be a great base for hiking and exploring Great Barrington. Our family was delighted to use the hot tub and kayaks at the lake, as well. Highly recommend and would definitely return!

My family and dog really enjoyed the cozy cabin. The yard is fun. While the stairs are challenging as described... it was also fun. While small, it has everything you need. as mentioned in other reviews, it is pretty close to the road. Our check-in with Lois was smooth and all the information we needed. it was great being able to walk over to the trail. Thank you so much.

Loved our time at the cabin as it was our second time here. Elevated camping at it's finest. My favorite part was sitting on the dock looking out at the river or sitting around the fire pit. Highly recommend this cabin.

We had a great time in the lake cabin. It’s really well equipped and thoughtfully put together. We felt welcome and at home. Great hiking nearby, we used the fire pit and grill. House was easy to cool and the kitchen has all the essentials and then some. (We also loved our breakfast at the Neon Newt) thanks Nicole and Aaron!!

Amanda and Jake were so nice with us, they helped us a lot with everything we needed and even more, the place was clean, and with everything we could need, we would love to come back in the future !!

Beautiful house, perfect for our family retreat. After another host cancelled on us last minute, we found Brian's place and were very happy we did! Brian was very responsive to our needs, and was very helpful throughout the weekend. the kids loved the game room, we set a new record on the Pacman machine. We made s'mores on the front porch in rainy weather, and visited some of the local breweries nearby. We were very pleased with the home, and it was perfect for our long weekend.

We were in town for 4 days and brought my dog along, and this cozy hideaway was the perfect nature escape with lots to do and see around the area!! Peaceful, beautifully tucked away, and just what we needed to unwind. Cori and Ruben were incredibly thoughtful hosts - welcoming, responsive, and full of great local tips PLUS you can book archery and other lessons with Ruben & more. Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge in a serene setting

Amazing cabin!! My third visit. Was there with friends for fishing and I love the cabin so much that I booked my anniversary weekend and my wife is also in love with the property. Relaxing Birding Fishing Kayaking Fire pit Romantic This place has it all! Book it now! You won’t regret it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect get away for a girls weekend. Quiet, cozy and has beautiful surroundings! So much to do in the area also! Would love to come back in the future.

It was a perfect price. With the ABNB it was double+. I would rather pay John more for the one night personally, than what I did. And have done twice. I have always left the place the same or better than I found it. I understand the cleaning fee, but kills single fathers like me for a 1 night trip. That being said. Walker cabin is great! Kayaks, all safety gear, fully outfitted down to toothpicks, brushes, floss, ect. You think you forgot it. It’s there. Baby monitors!

Great little bungalow perfect getaway for me and the wife paddle around the pond on the paddle boat. The only thing I was disappointed about is we specifically search for places that do not have recordings we value our privacy, was upsetting to see One when we walked up when it was listed to not have any.

Alex was a great host, just a couple of hiccups in the beginning it was a great space for us. The campground was peaceful and close to my sister's house. There was plenty of restaurants close by for meals. There were puzzles and games to play in the evening, It would have been nice to have a spot for a fire outside. Directions were easy to follow for getting to the campground and for getting into the cabin. If we would need a place to stay again I would consider using it again.

Could not have asked for a more perfect and peaceful stay at the mountain house. It is a dream of a place, in beautiful surroundings.

The place was as described. It was very nice down to the detail of having lint removers for our clothes. The clothes washer and dryer were excellent. The only knives in the kitchen were steak knives. It was odd to not have any chef's knives to cut a watermelon with, etc. There was an infestation of ants in a window and the kitchen counter top when we checked in which was off putting. It was a joy to wake up to hens outside the glass doors but the rooster/s woke us up earlier than we set our alarms for. But that was fine. It was still a peaceful place.

Great little place, close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to be quiet and peaceful. It had lots to do onsite, as well as a quiet place to hang out by the lake. It had everything we needed for our trip, plus many things not found at other locations. We will definitely stay here in the future.

This was a great location for both exploring North Adams and visiting friends in the Pioneer Valley! The space was inviting and cozy. The cabin was the perfect size for our family of 4, and the kids loved their loft bedroom! Thanks so much for hosting us! We had such a terrific weekend!
