Beachfront holiday rental in Southampton

We had the most incredible stay at this cottage! The property is beautifully private and secluded—perfect for a peaceful escape. Everything was so well maintained, from the grounds to the cottage itself. We loved that there were so many activities right on the property—kayaks, paddleboards, a cold plunge, and a sauna—all accessories were provided and neatly organized, which made everything so easy. We hardly felt the need to leave! The sauna and cold plunge especially took the experience to the next level. It truly felt like a retreat for rest and relaxation. We left feeling completely recharged and are already looking forward to coming back.

We had an amazing stay! It was our second time staying and everything was perfect. It’s a cozy cottage with an at-home feel. Set the pilot light in the gas fireplace for us and let me know in advance, and offered to come pick up chairs after a windstorm the night before our stay. Very lovely host with a very speedy response time and a wonderful property!

This was our second visit, and already thinking about returning. It really felt like our own family cottage. Very comfortable. Has everything you need and more. I have never been to an Air B&B so well stocked. It’s so nice to be so close to the beach and boardwalk to pop out for a walk or to enjoy the sunset. Hope to return again!

Very beautiful backyard with hot tub, sauna and fireplace. Had great afternoon grilling on patio. Spacious and comfortable seating in lounge and backyard. Look forward to visit again.

This was a quiet, private, peaceful, and beautiful location. The house was nice with plenty of room for everyone. Being right on the water was what we wanted. The amenities were exactly what we wanted. The heated floors were awesome. Close to a town but still secluded. One thing to be aware of is having to rent linens at $20 per person which nobody expects to travel on vacation with bedsheets and thought it would be something included for the cost. Also, we were warned about the potholes in the road to the house but they were pretty drastic! All in all, would book again and hosts were very attentive.

As our first time using AirBnb, it was really easy to use and Kathryn’s place stood out as my girlfriend had never been to Tobermory. Everything was as described in the ad. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. Most importantly the view! It was beautiful. The hot tub on the deck facing the lake was a masterpiece! Overall we were satisfied and everything about Kathryn’s place met our expectations and beyond! Would definitely come back!

The apartment is presented well in the photos. We loved our stay and the access to the lake and pool. Homeowner was quick to respond by sms. It’s important to know that the “third” bedroom is an open loft space, doesn’t work if you need a 3rd room with a bed and a door and all that but does work if you know what to expect. We were not provided enough towels or any hand towels, in a place with 3 bathrooms. We did find that a bit odd. Either than that great stay.

Had a small bachelor party here recently and I couldn’t be happier! The hosts are the kindest and most helpful people ever! They went above and beyond and were always making sure we had everything. They gave recommendations on where to go and what to do, but they were also respectful of our time and space. Karen and Russell were very gracious hosts, it is a basement apartment but it wasn’t too loud upstairs and we were as quiet as we could be without restricting our own fun. The area is great and even the neighbours were nice and friendly. There’s lots to do around, and it’s not far from the village, where there’s more to do. I will be coming back with my wife and son, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a decent priced accommodation in a lovely area.

We had a great weekend at Cedar’s resort. Our cozy cottage was perfect with close proximity to some great hikes!

Pam was a responsive host. The lake front cottage is conveniently located near Lion Head trail, Bruce Peninsula and the town Tobermory, which was the primary reason why we chose this airbnb. We were out most of the day exploring Grotto and Flowerpot Island and it's a nice place to rest at night. We got to use the sauna, which our sore bodies after long hikes really appreciated.

My family and I stayed at this wonderful cottage for 4 days. It was everything I wanted- cozy, clean, and right on the water. We really enjoyed fishing and sitting outside. The water is really clear and clean. We loved exploring the small towns. The cottage is fully stocked with everything you need for your stay. I am really looking forward to returning in the future!

If you want the beauty of Lake Huron mixed with peace and quiet… this is the place to be! The cottage was perfect and we had a great week of relaxation. I loved the real cottage feel without the added materialism. Lots of laughs shared and enjoyment to be had. My family and I really appreciated the homie touches here and there throughout. Would definitely stay again!

Very grateful for the opportunity to relax and unwind here. Working in the city it was an amazing getaway and opportunity to chill out. Wonderful place and wonderful experience!

AMAZING property. All the guests were raving about how this is the best Airbnb any of us have stayed in. The cottage exceeded our expectations & the attention to detail is evident in every area. There’s plenty of different lounge spaces all around the property, so we never felt cramped. The yard is huge and BEAUTIFUL with wildflowers & daisies everywhere. The access to the water is private with a public playground just a 2min walk away which is great for kiddies. I’m not a big swimmer, but you can easily walkout all the way to the end of the pier with the sandbanks, so I spent a lot of time in the water. We had great weather for the wknd, so we didn’t spend much time inside, but the cottage is fully stocked with games, movies, books, telescope, binoculars, and more to keep busy in poor weather. And it may sound odd, but I was a huge fan of the laundry room! Completely stocked & even had a washboard & clothesline, giving a very cottagecore laundry experience. Def want to come back!

We were grateful to stay at Janet’s place. We needed a home base for 7 days to move our Mom into long-term care at Trillium Court, in Kincardine. We needed beds, the beach was wasted on us, no time to enjoy the patio, yard, beach or kitchen amenities. We travelled from Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island. We would stay here again, and highly recommend Janet’s Place. The sunset and beach look amazing.

This was our second summer staying at Leslie’s cottage and it was another great stay! Awesome location, cute cottage and Leslie was super easy to communicate with! One little downfall this time was when we arrived and checked it there was only 1 roll of toilet paper left for us as well as only 1 roll of paper towels so we ended up purchasing our own but other than that it was great :)

This place is a true gem! Well thought out, peaceful and such a great location. Serendib is a gracious and thoughtful host, as well. Great find!
