Beach house holiday rentals in South West England

Beautiful house, fantastic location, easy access to pubs, shopping and the beach. We had a lovely time and the house was very clean and comfortable. The only negative for us as a family of 4 adults was how compact the bedrooms were and lack of storage for clothing. The double bed does need a new mattress as it’s very soft and is up against a wall so for elderly people this proved difficult. Apart from that I would highly recommend Amy’s property.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at the House at Ryde Sands. The views from the lounge and master bedroom are STUNNING! The house was very clean and tidy and well equipped. I honestly don’t think we could have found anywhere better to stay. Thank you Beth & Scott xx

Our second visit to Beach Drive, just as great as the first time we visited two years ago. The house is well equipped for cosy evenings and is perfectly situated for exploring the coastal path. Julie's communication is excellent, she kindly sorted new car pass details for me at short notice which was a weight off my mind. Would definitely stay again.

Au-delà de la gentillesse de Sylvie je regrette simplement d’avoir eu à vivre un très court séjour chez elle ( une nuit dans le cadre de notre randonnée sur le GR 223) sans profiter pleinement de la la qualité de son hébergement, du jardin et de ses conseils. Par contre ses confitures sont exquises.

Lovely house in a great location, walking distance to the city centre. I would definitely stay there again!

We have just returned from an incredible long weekend at Heatherdown. The house itself was incredible with the most stunning views over the beach. The house was modern and well equipped with all that we needed. We had stunning weather which just made everything perfect. We had a lovely meal at Thatch’s and spent most of our time enjoying the house or the beach. Sam was really easy to get in touch with and was very responsive throughout our booking and stay. I couldn’t recommend this beautiful house anymore. Heatherdown made our weekend celebrating my mums 70th. Hope to be back soon. Thank you.

Absolutely lovely home , very responsive to messages, had an issue with the electrical gate it’s no one’s fault but they acted and responded so quickly. The only issue I had was with the pool not being open even though it’s listed in the title “ villa with pool “ and I searched air BnB using the great pool section . I was gutted because it did state in the more about section that the pool wasn’t open until may , I trusted that using the search with great pool would be enough but unfortunately It wasn’t, I did feel this was wrong listing a property with a pool and in the title but hiding the fact it wasn’t open in the click more section, this definitely needs changing.

Very homely and very well stocked caravan. Nice and quiet when we stayed. Parking space at the side big enough for 2 cars. Samantha was very helpful and very responsive to messages. Activity passes included making this a very reasonably priced place to stay.

Great place to stay, fabulous views. Mel is a great communicator. Swimming pool 2 min walk away. Grandchildren absolutely loved it (as did we all). Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Bonus was the weather was amazing for April.

We had the most wonderful stay at Oceana. Rob was thoroughly helpful throughout booking, right up to checking out. He even allowed an early check in, which was great. We were blessed with pure sunshine during our stay and I must say, this place is in the most idyllic spot, right at the top of the hill, with gorgeous views out to sea. I recommend an early start for sunrise, which I enjoyed with a cup of tea on the cosy sofa. The balcony is also a lovely spot for a glass of wine after a day on the beach. Saundersfoot beach and Coppet Hall beach were our top spots for building sandcastles with our two year old and we also enjoyed trips to Folly Farm and Tenby. Tops Pizza and The Royal Oak in Saundersfoot were both places we’d also really recommend. Thanks so much, Rob. We have already booked again for next year!

We’re so glad we chose to stay at Halula Beach House for my hen do weekend, it was the perfect pad! Pool, hot tub, silent disco, huge table we could all sit round… and just a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. Would highly recommend it!

The house was great, spacious, clean, and modern. Pool and hot tub were warm. The location was spectacular, a huge steep hill to the beach at Carbis Bay and a short train or drive to St Ives. Lots of amazing restaurants and plenty to do. I would stay again. A few improvements: -remotes to the outside heaters were missing (they tried, but never found them). - local contact was very helpful, Luxury Coastal emails were not helpful and were slow. I asked for local restaurant recommendations and they said there were lots nearby. Clearly a big company, so there isn’t a personal list of favorites, like at some Airbnbs - house with a pool and hot tub should provide pool towels, ridiculous especially for international travelers to not have this provided -pots and pans were old and all the non stick was scratched, which is cancerous and bad for health - needs wall towel hangers in bathrooms, tissues, and paper towels provided - there is NO DESK or office chair to work from

Great house in lovely location. Layout suited us well (2 families with kids and grandparents). Washing facilities proved very useful. Pool rota worked well and there was always a time available that suited us (open 8am-7pm). Host responded quickly. Lacking house guidance but not a problem and host responded to advise. Note access into house could be an issue for less able and push chairs-steep steps to front and lowest step broken away (advised host so this might get fixed). Rear access via steps and narrow sloping and muddy path. Parking to rear -you block in your other car. Parking spaces not spacious but adequate. We loved it thank you Beach Retreats!

Everything was as described. Neil was a great host and left a very generous welcome pack and a really useful folder of information. The house is in a good location, is spacious, and has amazing showers (although the high water pressure was less useful when our son drowned the kitchen as soon as we arrived!). The kitchen, although not that modern, is large and very well equipped. We didn't use the dining area much except for meals: it was a bit chilly (bring slippers for the tiled floor), there were no blinds on the windows, and WiFi didn't reach well into that room. In fact, it's worth bringing a collapsible table if you plan to use a laptop much in the house. The beds were all really comfortable but the curtains in most bedrooms are very light and thin so blackout blinds are advised. We stayed outside the swimming pool opening season but used the pool at Ruda down the road which was really fun. The pool table was great for an extra activity on rainy days. Overall, we'd recommend.

The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed with plenty of parking for all 3 of our cars. Goodrington was a lovely sun trap out of the wind, we loved Cantina! The beds were so comfy and every room so light & spacious.

Gemma’s place is stunning! Immaculately clean, well equipped and so welcoming! It was such a treat to come back from a breezy beach walk to a warm, cosy space. Gemma was super helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic week at Beachside. The house and location were amazing. You’re only 2 mins walk from the beach.The kitchen was well-equipped and the beds made for restful sleep.The location was perfect for exploring the local attractions and the best beach was just next to us.Also amazing view from the house!Highly recommend this beautiful property to others.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location, a stones throw away from polzeath beach, walkable to numerous bars and restaurants. The place was clean and well looked after, Dominic was quick to reply to any messages we had. Great find and good value

We had a wonderful stay at Sana's place in Totland Bay. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, ideal for relaxing strolls and enjoying the sea views. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it a great base for exploring the Isle of Wight with a homely feeling. It’s beautifully decorated, with a personal touch evident in every detail. The bathroom was a bit compact, but that’s a small trade-off given how excellent the other amenities were. The coffee machine and massage chair were great touches. We loved the coffee so much we asked about the brand—turns out, Sana’s family owns the business, which made it even more special! Sana was a responsive and thoughtful host throughout. She kindly accommodated our last-minute request to change from 3 adults to 4 due to a family situation, and did so without any additional charge. We truly appreciated her understanding and flexibility. We’d be happy to return in the future!

Fantastically run. Everything you need and more in the house. Looks a million pounds in and out. Ideal spot if I was back for summer, shops, food and beach short walk with path away. Emily and everyone super helpful. Won’t regret booking 👍🏻

We had a fantastic stay at Babs and Scott's place which was even more wonderful than than in the photos show! The views from the upstairs balcony are unbeatable with the path to the beach just outside the garden. Babs was very friendly and responsive and very accommodating with check-in too. A wonderful welcome basket and goodies awaited us on arrival and there is plenty by way of food and drink locally you can wander too. We'd absolutely stay here again! The place is described as small but it was plenty spacious for the two of us, our toddler and 3 dogs without feeling cramped. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
