We stayed at Danielle’s cottage over Christmas and had a fantastic time. Very beautiful place, clean and we particularly liked the fire place as well as the welcome basket with many regional products. Thank you again for the lovely stay!

A stay at Hearthstanes is absolute magic. Beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet, lush greenery, animals and a waterfall? Yes! From start to finish our communication with Ralph and Maura was easy. Ralph kept in touch with us throughout our stay, offering us a tour of his farm and then after our talks on our ride suggested activities we might enjoy based on our interests. The facilities were impeccable and super comfortable. We appreciate their patience as we navigated our first trip to Scotland. We would HIGHLY recommend Hearthstanes and the borders of Scotland to anyone wishing for a magical, quiet time in Scotland.

We stayed at this luxurious and beautifully presented Airbnb for my daughter’s wedding and bridal party preparations, and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The space is fantastic—spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed, making it ideal for both relaxing and getting ready. It was also stunning for photos, with gorgeous natural light and stylish décor throughout. The quality Delph and glassware added a real touch of class, and the generous welcome pack made us feel instantly at home. The property was immaculately clean and well equipped, with luxury toiletries and an abundance of plush towels. The hosts Yvonne and Naomi, were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay stress-free and memorable. We also loved the multiple outdoor seating areas—each one positioned to catch the sun throughout the day and furnished with top-quality outdoor furniture. This place was a dream setting for such a special occasion, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Geraldine’s place is absolutely amazing, the lodge is spacious for large groups. The views and surroundings are what made this place outstanding. We had a lovely time. Thank you G for hosting us

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful old house—if only the walls could talk! It was incredibly cozy, and everything we needed was right at our fingertips. G stopped by to walk us through everything, and she was truly amazing—so kind and lovely. For a family of 6 we had plenty of room. we would love to stay again

This was our second stay. We loved the Wee Hoose. Very beautiful surroundings and very convenient for the small town and its amenities. We enjoyed Cafe Ariete for breakfast and Brodies for evening meal and recommend both. We highly recommend the Wee Hoose too and would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed a short stay in this peaceful and picturesque cottage. it is well equipped, cosy and homely. It is peaceful with an abundance of wildlife and nature. We look forward to hopefully staying again and thoroughly recommend this place as a great base to explore the area from. Many thanks for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Beechwood. The pictures do not do it justice, the house is stunning with each room clean, spacious, and designed impeccably and tastefully. The house was well-equipped and our whole group especially loved the addition of the hot tub. The grounds and gardens are lovely with scenic woodland walks right on your doorstep. The location was great, with enough privacy to feel secluded but only a short walk to the high street. Nick was a great host; always attentive and super responsive. He generously offered flexible check-in and check-out times and was always on hand for any questions we had. I can’t recommend Nick’s place enough and our group will all definitely be back again soon!

Caroline, along with her amazing staff, made our family feel immediately welcomed and cared for, as though we were an extension of her own family. The estate was absolutely breathtaking to behold in person. The only thing that made an equal impression was the hospitality received that was above and beyond our expectations. Caroline and the Cairns Farm staff were not only very professional, they were very supportive, approachable, and responsive to every request we had, which in turn enhanced the experience for our family to become the most impactful and successful time we’ve spent together. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness nor put into words my gratitude for the experience of a lifetime the Cairns Farm Estate facilitated for us. We will be returning as soon as possible. Thank You Again!!!!

We had an excellent stay, as a large group we found the space perfect, no one felt cramped or crowded and we were all very comfortable. Jennifer was very welcoming and all the information we needed was at hand. We would definitely return!!

We had a beautiful holiday here and Rosie and Jim were more than accomodating. The lodge was stunning, comfortable and the views/animals are truly stunning. Rosie is an amazing host who greets you with as much information as you wish when you arive then leaves you alone to your own devices unless you need to contact her. Which is perfect if you are looking to keep private as the lodge itself feels very private. Finally the surrounding areas are just a short drive away and I highly recommended Coulter Fell if you are up for a hike! Thank you Rosie for being an incredible host and for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lodge. It made this week truly magical for me and my family.

We had the most wonderful stay at Blackside Cottage and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much care and attention Andrew and Elizabeth put into making the place welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The cottage itself is immaculate – stylishly decorated, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The kitchen was a real highlight – far better stocked than most places we’ve stayed – and the log-burning fire made our evenings incredibly relaxing. The setting is just magical. Peaceful, private, and surrounded by stunning countryside, it was the perfect place to switch off and unwind. The freestanding bath was a real luxury – perfect for a long soak after a day of exploring. Andrew and Elizabeth were brilliant hosts. Everything was smooth from booking to check-out. This place is a real gem!

This place was ridiculous- beautiful home with loads of space, amazing surroundings, friendly host who was in the farm, barn, etc, ready to chat and offer recommendations. Just a stunning, beautiful place.

Lovely place to visit and extremely well kitted out for all your needs. Christina was a very friendly and welcoming host and helpful with any queries we had. Would recommend a visit here as it has some beautiful walks nearby and is easily accessible for Glasgow.
