We are located 10 minutes from the East Gate entrance to Algonquin Provincial Park that offers interpretive trails, museums and vast lakes and rivers for day or overnight canoeing trips. Algonquin Parks has much to offer and would encourage you to visit their website. The town of Whitney is about five minutes from our home. Amenities offered; restaurants, gas stations, Pharmacy, post office, grocery store, beer/liquor store, outfitters for canoe rentals and gift store. A beautiful sandy beach and children's playground are located in town.

This hike-in, solar cabin has it's own private hiking trail(100m, steep hill) and private parking area. The trail winds it's way up to your private view overlooking Golden Lake. The Nest is a one room cabin with a screened in porch. There is a queen bed with sheets, queen pillows and comforter. Relax by the river or take out a kayak and paddle upstream to the rapids. After a BBQ dinner, enjoy smores at the large campfire pit. Meander the trails throughout the property and just be. Everything is here for a simple but soul restoring getaway. There is no shower and the toilet is in an outhouse.
