Beachfront holiday rental in South Algonquin

Great views and outdoor space to enjoy with our family and dog. Great hikes close by. Host was very responsive, easy to reach, and friendly. A great place for a family vaca!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Less than 1km from OFSC trails (primary reason for our stay). We enjoyed the quiet of the lake, bbq one evening and the wood stove for heat. Michelle, our host, was very responsive to all of our questions leading up to and during our stay.

Easy no contact needed entry. The host was quick to respond to any questions. Good use was made of the space so you had everything you needed but could still move around. The kitchen is very well stocked with extras as well as necessities for cooking. A top notch shower head that wasn't to low (I'm 6 feet tall), and towels provided. Outside had a fire pit and firewood provided.

The cottage is outside the town of Whitney, down a small lane with only one other dwelling close by (with a very friendly fellow). There’s a little sandy beach in front for swimming. And the cottage itself is very nice - good kitchen/living room for visiting, nice sized bedrooms, and the en suite half-bath took the pressure off the main bathroom. Whitney is just near the East Gate of Algonquin Park, with lots of good trails. There were so many bugs the first day, and then the weather turned cold and the bugs disappeared, which made hiking much more enjoyable.

This cottage was one of the best we have gone to! This cottage is a jewel on Boshkung Lake. We enjoyed the views, sitting on the dock and having dinner in the screened in deck. We hope to return again soon, thank you Bruce and family for a fantastic weekend!

My partner and our dog spent a long weekend at Peter's cabin in the woods in mid-June, and it was perfect! Very private but only a 10 minute drive into Bancroft which had everything we could possibly have needed. Beautiful space (indoor and out) with everything we could have possibly needed. It's a perfect location for a weekend getaway! There was a booklet with clear instruction on the wood-burning fire, generator and battery, and the water situation, as well as a map of the property. We tried getting to 'beach 2' but there wasn't a clear path and couldn't find it, but the main beach was a 5 minute walk away and was beautiful, Completely private, sandy, and with clear water that was great to swim/float around in. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet weekend getaway, and will almost definitely come back. Just make sure you keep the bug spray nearby!

This is Airbnb concept working at its best. Ken’s place was a home away from home. Not just a mere house to generate extra income. Great care was put in for someone to feel good staying there ( night lights meticulously placed around the house for navigating oneself in the dark - just an example) . We found the house in immaculate cleanliness ( thank you Jackie). Ken was always present via messages to address us, suggest activities, provide general logistics of area. The house is a gem, with lots of windows and light, large kitchen with anything you might need, and very comfortable beds with premium mattresses. Thank you Ken, we’d love to be back soon 🙏🏻

Our family had a wonderful stay. The stunning views are even better than the pictures. The kids loved both the outdoor and indoor activities, with canoeing and local attractions being the highlights for us. Hosts Cindy and Mike were extremely helpful, offering excellent recommendations and exceeding our expectations. The place had a welcoming vibe. Highly recommended—a hidden gem.

Mike and Cindy were great hosts! They are very friendly, and good people. We loved the themed cabins. Everything in our cabin is picked for the “yellow canoe” theme. I love these types of thoughtful touches. They offered great suggestions for our activities. There are a lot of things to do in the area including complimentary kayaks, canoes, bicycles, firewood, etc. We enjoyed walking by their farms and interacting with their chickens. Their family welcomed us with open hearts. We will go back!

Footprints is a hidden gem in the Kawarthas, a little paradise! lots of things to do in the resort, lots of space and seating areas. Swimming in the beautiful lake was perfect! We were very fortunate to have the entire place for ourselves for almost two days, when guests arrived for the weekend we found that everyone knows how to be respectful of your space. It was nice to share stories by the fire or by the hot tub with friendly people. We would love to go back!

We stayed at Myers Cave Resort for 4 nights with our two kids and had a wonderful time! The cleanliness and comfort of our cottage exceeded our expectations. Our favourite part was that everyone had something to do. We also really enjoyed the canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and boats. Thanks Myers cave! We will be back!

This resort was very unexpected! I went when the weather was very cold and rainy and still had an awesome time! Had a fire every night and met some really great people! And the lookout from the hot tub was beautiful! I will definitely be booking to come back in 1 month!! I 100% recommend

The cottage was immaculately clean (and I'm fussy !). Well organized, tastefully decorated with a beautiful view of the lake.... The sound of the waves lapping up on the beach while sleeping is really lovely! Would love to go back.

My sister and I spent the weekend here and could not have had a better time! The lake was so beautiful and relaxing and the cabin was the perfect size. Angela is a top notch host and anyone would be lucky to stay here!

Our stay at Chris' cottage was fantastic. The place was exactly as advertised, super clean with a great dock for fishing and lots of outdoor activities for our busy kids. Check in and check out were easy and the host was very responsive and helpful.

a really nice stay with Nat. the accommodations were perfect, nice and clean, everything you need is there in the accommodation. love the area, right by lake wilbermere great for swimming and fishing. quiet in the park at night which was really peaceful. accommodations are close to wilberforce. Definitely worth the stay. Will definitely be back next time we're back in my hometown.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Canoe Cottage! The cottage itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring on the kayaks, paddle board and canoe.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful! Lots of private space and gorgeous views. The water was nice and Sandy, not weedy or rocky - perfect. Kim always responded super quickly and made all the instructions super clear. We were celebrating a birthday and they left some bday cupcakes and a sweet note along with it - lovely touch. Would recommend 10/10

The home was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, making our stay super comfortable. What truly made this experience stand out was the host’s generosity and hospitality. Abigail went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Communication was effortless with her, fast, friendly, and always helpful. We genuinely didn’t feel like we were missing a single thing. Entertainment options and the place were great, but honestly, the highlight of the entire stay was the host herself. Hands down, the best host we’ve ever had on Airbnb. We’re already looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend.
