“There is not much more I can add than what others have said about this place. We enjoyed being surrounded with nature and loved sitting outdoors every night with the cats around the place. In fact, we were sad to leave them. We bought food to feed them every day and gave them fresh water. We bought lettuce and fed the iguanas every morning too. It is far from town but we knew that going in because we do not like to stay in touristy areas. It was an easy 15-20 minutes to West end though where all the beautiful public beaches are. We also found a place to eat called Cactus Cafe about 15 minutes away in Savonet. It is not TripAdvisor but you can find it on Google Maps. You will not regret it. The best food and nicest people. We ate there twice...huge portions for the price. My only suggestion would be to have a big rinse bucket for guests to wash our clothes and snorkeling/dive gear. If there was one available, we couldn’t find it. Other than that, no complaints. There is construction going on at the old Sunset Waters Resort but we didn’t really hear it. Hopefully it will be a great addition to the area once completed. Joyce was also so wonderful that my husband’s watch broke on the way out the door to the airport. He noticed it was not on his wrist as we were almost there. Joyce went back to the house and looked for it, found it, and came back to the airport with it. That is truly caring for her guests. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!”
It's a very nice and quiet neighbourhood. The apartment has a big yard and your car will be parked on the yard between the fence.
“I am not surprised that Lucille and Allen are super-hosts as they went out of their way to make us at home—Allen even drove to find us when we got lost finding the property for the first time. The apartment was extremely clean inside and out and the area is lovely and quiet. It was a pleasant change from the noise and crowds of Willemstad. The best beaches in the west are a short drive away and you are not far from the national park, and other attractions. Be sure to pick up your groceries at the Centrum (near the airport) as there isn’t much in the way of groceries nearby. We stayed in apt B which was nice, but would choose A if we could come back as it has the bigger, breezy patio overlooking the aloe patch. An excellent feature is the free use of the washer and dryer. (Bring your own soap). Overall we had an excellent stay and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the west side of the island’s beauty. Great value.”

“Landhuis Santa Martha is an absolute hidden gem. You need not hesitate booking trust me you’ll love it!!! From start to finish throughout our planning, communication with Steffi the host was very easy and she responded to all questions and gave suggestions. I never felt like a burden. (And I did ask a lot of questions.)This hotel is west of the island so getting our bearings prior, ensured a hassle feel stay and perfect Anniversary weekend. We knew the place was beautiful but, when we arrived, it was much more than expected. The first thing we noticed was the layout and designed the hotel and it’s breathtaking views all around. We were in awe and of course, booked the queen suite which didn’t disappoint. The spacious room was spotless with it’s unique decor and we really appreciated all the thoughtful details. Very intimate feel, which is what we wanted. I can go on and on, but our highlights were the yummy welcome cocktails and breathtaking views, oh and not forgetting to mention the most stunning sunset between the cactus. We were also happy we eventually got to meet Steffi and chat with her a bit. Very jolly lady, made us feel absolutely welcome. Her and the staff, were very attentive. If you’re thinking about hiking to St Christoffel, I’d definitely recommend spending couple or more nights here like we did, our’s were too short and we quickly realised we made the right call staying at this location. It was a short distance drive to the hike and close proximity to casa Abou beach and Santa Martha lookout, all the things on our to do list, so it didn’t feel rushed due to short trip. The food was also amazingly and we were grateful for the sandwiches we requested the evening before our hike that held us up for the entire morning. Dinner great, good food. You have to try the chilli fondu, good stuff. Definitely an exciting trip and we enjoyed every moment of our stay here. Thank you for taking care of us and we’ll be back SOON!!!!”
