“Our stay at Eldon's was wonderful! We really enjoyed the location (a short drive but very convenient to all the parts of the island we needed to get to) and it was extra convenient because Eldon helped us arrange for a rental car from the airport. The space was no frills but exactly what we needed, a fridge, a clean bathroom, and a comfortable bed (plus AC!) It was so nice to be able to walk out of our door and be at the awesome pool. Our only regret from the trip is that we didn't have an extra day to just lay around the pool, though the time we did get to spend lounging was very much enjoyed. Eldon and his wife Hilly and Bailey the sweet pup were all lovely and we enjoyed getting to know them. We definitely want to come back and would absolutely stay here again when we return to Curacao. Thank you again Edon & Hilly!”
Welcome to a beautiful Paradise in Pietermaai District. This 300yr old estate has been restored to perfection after having suffered severe neglect. The unique design style and decoration has been done with love for architecture. The villa can be found in Pietermaai District also known as the ‘Soho of Curacao’’, where monuments meet modern times. With an oceanfront stunning view + private pool, the villa is ideal to get away from it all whilst still be close to great restaurants and live music.
“My husband and I just arrived home from the most amazing stay at Remco & Marijke’s place. Leading up to travel all our questions were answered in a timely fashion. All suggestions were good ones. When we arrived at the airport we let Remco know and he met us at the house for check in. He gave us a tour of the house and property. There were waters, beer, and a bottle of wine waiting for us. There is no air conditioning downstairs but there is such a wonderful cross breeze that it wasn’t necessary. Upstairs there is AC over the bed for sleeping. I did have problems with the mosquitos but my husband did not. It is not due to the place they just love me. Some locals told me to take B2 before my travels next time and while I am there. Mosquitos don’t like to bite you’re skin with that. There was bug spray in the house but I brought my own too. I do on any Caribbean vacation. We loved the balcony off of the bedroom where most nights we would enjoy a drink before bed. The pool and beach area was such a treat. We enjoyed two full days in the pool relaxing. It was great to have a bathroom outside instead of going into the house wet. My husband brought his fishing poles and did some fishing off of the rocks in the back. It was a nice way to start the morning. Small touch. I loved that there was a yoga mat. Every morning I would wake up and go for a run. It would still be a little dark out but the area is so safe. Then I’d come back and exercise on the mat. I brought some of my own travel exercise equipment with me. The kitchen had all the essentials where we cooked breakfast in the mornings and made lunch. We had a special treat one evening when Karen Vanderstraeten came in to cook for us. She made a amazing 6 course dinner for us. We ate outside by the beautiful lights of the pool. I highly recommend you booking with her. You can find her on Facebook at “Karen’s Kitchen.” She also have us great suggestions on places to eat. Our favorites were Cana and Moss, Meat the Fish, and Kome. There are plenty of towels in the house. A strong hair dryer so don’t bother traveling with one. Plenty of electrical outlets to charge items. We stayed a full week. Mid week someone came to clean the place. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We are already planning our next visit!”

“To start, we will certainly be utilizing the Garden Studios again in the future. We were one couple in a cabin and found that the space served us incredibly well over an eight day stay. The location is central to the most metropolitan attractions of Curaçao and can easy be accessed by foot or bike. We only rented a car for half the time for further exploration of the island, and the gated driveway is nice assurance the vehicle is safely stored. The neighborhood is authentic and shows off much off the early architecture of the island. The garden where the cabins are within is truly stunning and could be an easy way to sit back and enjoy a day of rest. If you’re lucky you’ll meet all the lovely critters. If you’re as lucky as us you’ll get sun burned and get to use the natural aloe in the garden to mend the burns (worked so well). Inside the cabin has a handy kitchenette to prepare breakfasts and lunch, great way to save time and money to do more while visiting. If it’s a hot day the cabin also serves as a getaway from the hot sun with nice cooling fans. Pair that with WiFi and streaming platforms and you can really veg out in peace. To tie it up in a bow the grounds manager Bianca is very charming and hospitable. She has a wonderful local lens and has much to offer. I would also suggest getting a ride from the airport from her as it’s affordable and a great way to get introduced to the area. She was even so kind as to take us to the supermarket to get groceries before arriving. This was easily one of our best Airbnb experiences to date.”
