The popular Hauklandstranda is about 15 minutes from the rorbua. Leknes town, airport and hurtigruten ferry a short distance from the cabin. If you want to try your luck in the rich fishing waters of Vestfjorden, boat rental is possible. In the months Jan-April the famous Lofot fishing is ongoing, and you can experience this fishing at Ballstad, which is one of Lofoten's largest and most abundant fishing village.

Rorbuen is located Idyllically on Gjermesøy, outside Ballstad, which is an active fishing village today. Completed in 2018, modern, high standard and plenty of room. Nearby, there are many great hiking areas. Possibility of bike tours, excursions with local fishing boat, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Kayak tours, Restaurants, Pub etc. The place is in the middle of Lofoten with 1 hour drive to Å in the west and Svolvær in the east. Shopping area Leknes and Leknes Airport are approximately 15 minutes away. Rorbu has stunning views of Lofotveggen, Mosken and Værøy

There are great hiking trails just outside, and you can catch fish from the dock. It is possible to pay and go out to sea with a big boat, or buy fishingcards for the waters abowe.
