Expérience the quality of life in the Loire Valley. Only 10 minutes north of the city of Tours this historic property nestles in the middle of a site of 15 ha. It includes the 17th century manor house, a historic pigeon coop topping the half-timbered northern gate, a coach house from 1824, the 16th century barn and its farm lovingly converted as a gite to welcome up to 10 people (all single beds) The 300m2 building has been converted and updated so as to bring you all the comfort you can wish, from a large chimney with open fire to a wi-fi internet connection. It can be rented per week or just for the week end. Ground floor : 2 large reception rooms (each 50m2), facing South. Fitted kitchen and laundry room, bathroom and separate toilet, one bedroom with shower room en suite. Direct access to private gardens 1st floor : 4 bedrooms with single beds (90x200) that can be arranged as double beds, separate shower room and toilet. There are numerous activities in the region, depending on your taste you can discover the historic heritage of the Tourraine and Anjou regions, explore beautiful gardens, or try local products and wines, visit wine caves or attend equine events or concerts. For other it might be the zoological parks or aquarium, bike rides or boating on the Loire river. Full of character and charm, thick local limestone walls keep the house cool in summer yet cosy during colder, truffle-hunting months. The covered terrace is perfect for alfresco dining. Pool closed from October 30 to the end of March. The "La Bergerie" Gîte awaits you in a quiet location in the center of the Loire Valley castles and in the heart of the vineyards between Tours and Saumur. It is a family cottage, all gatherings for an evening are prohibited. The land is shaded and our indoor pool is heated to 29°. House renovated in 2018 with large rooms that can accommodate up to 9 adults plus two babies maximum for good times with family or friends.
