Holiday rentals with a kayak in Snohomish County

Came here with 2 of my friends, incredible spot if you are looking to be close to beautiful mountains and hikes , we were about 15 minutes from major towns and grocery stores, woke up to the lake and Mountain View which was awesome! The spot itself did exactly what we needed, we kayaked caught some trout and had a good spot to sleep every night . Only thing I would change is the futon pull out couches are not the comfiest, we are in our 20s so we were perfectly fine. 10/10 would stay here again

This is our favorite AirBNB, we have now stayed multiple times! Everything about it is phenomenal from the clean, beautiful house to the secluded yard to the lakefront activities! The hosts are super responsive and welcoming and have put so much love and care into the home and thoughtful spaces throughout the property. With relaxing vibes that help you unplug and dog-friendly touches, it really is the perfect stay! We highly recommend the Madrona Lake House!!

The whole family was impressed with the location. It was simply beautiful, with the ocean only a few steps away from the back door. We saw eagles almost every day while we relaxed on the patio, and being from the midwest we all got a kick from observing the tide come in and out. It was also a great location as a home base to drive around and see the sights. The house is about an hour north of Seattle, an easy drive. We also took a day trip to Vancouver, which was one of the nicest cities we've ever visited. The house itself was clean and had everything you might need. Even the mattress was a pleasant surprise, my bad back never bothered me, which is unusual when I travel. Highlights included a wonderful whale watching excursion we took from a town called Anacortes, about 40 mins north of the house. We followed a pod of Orcas for about an hour and a half and had a blast. I also recommend the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor museum in Everett. It has an amazing collection.

I absolutely loved the place. We weren't blessed with great weather for our winter stay but it was cozy and wonderful anyway. when the sky did finally clear up for us the view was absolutely beautiful. I loved our stay and would absolutely stay here again.

What an awesome place! Everyone loved it. The beds were comfy and the views were otherworldly. The water everywhere was gorgeous. All the little touches were thoughtful, such as the kayaks and cornhole. We loved hanging out here. The host was very responsive and thoughtful during check-in. We’d happily return!

This was a great place to get a little bit of down time for us. The kitchen had all the kitchenware and utensils we needed to create home cooked meals. The view was beautiful. Tim, the owner of the place whose contact info you finally get once you reserve, was very responsive to my questions. Evolve is kind of a door in and a door out, but the bulk of the interactions are with the owner who created this place with his wife. In the photos on the Airbnb site, the place looks like there is a lot of pink. The color in the photos is off. The main color was crimson which was much more palatable to our tastes. This place is tucked in on a private dirt road with lots of potholes, etc, but that makes it that much more separate from the rest of the world and a bit more isolated, although there are nice neighbors. A high clearance vehicle would make access a bit easier. This was a 7 min drive from the 2 places we needed to be. Easy to get turned around, so use GPS the first few times.

Perfect, peaceful, charming cabin on the water. The moment you walk in you can see straight through to the water. Comfy deck seating for watching the sunrise and sunset. Walk right on to the soft sand filled with seashells. We will definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful stay! We're a family with three young boys under the age of 8, and the home worked really well for us overall. A couple of small suggestions that might help future guests: it gets very bright upstairs in the early morning — our kids were up at 4:30am on the first day! Curtains or blackout shades would make a big difference. We ended up using foil as a quick fix, which worked well. The location is fantastic — just steps from the beach. For families with young kids (or older guests), a small set of portable stairs down to the sand would be helpful. We temporarily moved the hot tub steps to make it easier, which worked in a pinch. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked for cooking, and the neighborhood is peaceful with absolutely stunning views. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Thanks for an amazing stay!

If you are looking for a relaxing spot right on the water, this is it. The spot is directly on the water in a super inviting community. You can walk right down the boat ramp into the water! The hosts were incredible, friendly, and very communicative. If you are on the taller side like us, the bed is a little small, but comfortable.

My husband and I stayed for a long anniversary weekend and absolutely loved the cabin! Location was absolutely lovely, with the waterfront just a short walk around the corner- the sunsets were fantastic. The backyard is quiet and secluded, with beautiful foliage and hummingbirds. The house was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to stay again!

Great location with easy access to the beach. Kitchen was very well stocked with items and it felt like Joni spent some good time there. Neighbors were very friendly. I would like to return. The property was super clean and Joni was very responsive and friendly host.

We loved our time at Evolve's family "cabin." We enjoyed reading the history of the cabin, although the property did NOT resemble a quintessential cabin. It was a modern home in every way. Every detail was considered. We were comfortable and cozy. The view cannot be described. I spent almost every minute in the cabin on the comfortable window seats with the ocean as my backdrop. The loft was warm and cozy and the bedroom large for a "cabin." Evolve's fridge was spotless, quality coffee was provided as was a welcome basket of snacks. The view, the view, the view. We couldn't get enough of it. We had our coffee on the upper deck each morning and watched some birds fishing on the water and others chatting in the immense and breathtaking trees off the deck and in the garden at the back of the property. We made a fabulous memory, thanks to Evolve. We will return. I hope soon.

Very clean, very nice property in mother nature's lap. We felt very thankful for being able to enjoy the beauty and the calmness of this place. The experience has added to our repertoire of family memories. We highly recommend the place and Aaron and Shannon as great hosts.

I had a wonderful stay! The space was exactly as described. Kevin was incredibly responsive and made check-in super easy. The location was perfect, close to everything I needed but still peaceful and quiet. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

If you have the chance to stay here, you will not be disappointed. This place is darling, with everything you’ll need. We stayed for a week with a balance of relaxing by the lake as well as adventuring throughout the area. Laura was amazing through it all and so accommodating! 10/10 would recommend in a heartbeat!

We loved our time at Jimmy’s. We were looking for a place to unplug and relax for a couple of days and couldn’t have asked for anything better. The house was beautiful and right on the lake- what more could you ask for?! We spent most of the time on the dock fishing and caught a lot of trout. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the house is stocked with games and puzzles. Wish our stay didn’t have to end. Highly recommend 🫶

Our stay at this lakefront cottage was incredible! The breathtaking views and serene atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and recharge. While there were minor plumbing issues, the host handled them promptly, and they didn’t affect our experience. In fact, it was great practice as we prepare for RV life and embrace mindful living! Tips for future guests: 1. When the sign says, “Don’t flush X, Y, or Z,” take it seriously—it’s not just a suggestion. 2. The hill to the cottage is steep. It’s manageable if you’re used to San Francisco terrain like I am, but it could be tricky for non-AWD vehicles. Overall, an amazing stay! This cottage is a hidden gem for a peaceful and scenic lake retreat. Highly recommend!
