You’ll love our place because of the ambiance and the outdoors space. Set on 18 acres with horses, goats and lots of wildlife including kangaroos, echidnas and often a pair of eagles circling overhead. On the doorstep of the Yarra Valley Wine district and scenic Kinglake Ranges. The views from the home are spectacular. Our place is suitable for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). 50 mins from Melbourne Airport.
“The cottage was the perfect little getaway and Scott and Jen are amazing hosts. We went during winter and it was so cosy with the fireplace, which Scott got going for us when we arrived. The mountain views are gorgeous, it's so peaceful, and we had a lovely walk around the farm and said hello to the animals. The place is set up with everything you need including bacon and eggs in the fridge for brekky. The location is perfect for exploring the Yarra Valley. Our only regret was not booking the place for longer.”
The Guesthouse, attached to our family home has many unique architectural features, ply panelling, recycled and salvaged timbers throughout. The bedroom is minimally decorated. The bathroom and small kitchenette with hand crafted timber features, opens out to an al fresco dining and cooking area with a private deck overlooking the paddocks and rambling bushland. Somewhere to reflect, listen to the birds and whisper gently to the horses. Come and stay, it's quiet here.
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kate’s Guesthouse. The place was warm and well-lit, and also beautifully decorated, with a fabulous selection of books and films. We stayed for 4 nights and were able to cook all our meals at the place with ease. The place is located right by a creek and National Park, meaning there was an abundance of nature walks, native birds and animals. Would highly recommend.”
Close to the Yarra Valley's restaurants and wineries, family-friendly activities, beautiful forests, waterfalls and bush walks. Best bits: Great views, super deluxe king-size bed with alpaca wool quilt and high quality linen, cathedral ceilings, full kitchen, wood heater, spa, home cinema with recliners and 120inch screen. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, a honeymoon or romantic getaway. 14 acres of serenity. Pets possible upon application. Please note that the dam is unfenced.
“Ali's place is beautiful. We wish we had spent more time here. The location is stunning - nestled in between two sections of national park. We had some fog which only added to the beauty. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. It was lovely being able to cook in the kitchen and know all the essential equipment was on hand. The bed was also extremely comfortable. Ali was excellent in her communication and had the fire roaring for us on our arrival. We would absolutely recommend staying here.”
