Can't recommend Nick's wagon enough, brilliant location with loads to see and do in the area, even in bad weather. Nick was a great host, very helpful and accommodative, showed us arounfd the are and even let us have some of the kale from his garden to use in our meals.

Justine's place is a lovely, relaxing spot in a beautiful setting. It's a bit removed from restaurants and stores, so bring provisions. Justine is very helpful and responsive. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, it's a perfect place to relax in solitude, build a fire, and gaze out across the landscape

A great base for exploring the Catlins! The view from the apartment is beautiful, and we were treated to a chorus of bellbirds from the tree right by the deck! The kitchen was suprisingly well-equipped for it's size, and it was nice that it could be closed off from the rest of the space. The whole apartment was modern, warm, and comfortable.

We picked the place for the chance of minimum light pollution to admire the starry sky and it didn’t disappoint us. This place is so remote, it’s such a charm in case you just need to go “away” for some time. Being a perfect hangout for kicking back and daze off, it is not too far away from many interesting trails. The three alpacas are absolutely adorable.
