Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

George was very welcoming, flexible with our arrival time. We were greeted with fresh water and fruit, it was very nice. George advised us very well on the places to visit. He regularly asked us for news. The site is excellent, the beaches around are splendid!

We spent two wonderful weeks at Pinelopi's house in late May/early June 2025. Everything is as described! The terrace is simply wonderful and beautiful in the countryside as well as with sea views. The location of the accommodation is central and very, very quiet. Pinelopi is an excellent host! We were received personally and warmly. There was a bottle of olive oil, wine and raki, as well as a plate of fresh fruit. In addition, several bottles of water. The cleanliness is particularly noteworthy. Pinelopi is always approachable, and she also gives countless excursion and restaurant tips. Conclusion: We were thoroughly impressed Thank you very much again.

We had an amazing stay in Agios Ioannis. The house is beautiful, clean, calm, with beautiful views and a great garden. Perfect location to escape tourism and enjoy the mountains. We highly recommend and hope to visit again!

The Rustic Nook was such a lovely, unique place to stay. It felt like you were tucked away in a quaint cottage in the shire. Beyond the physical attractiveness of the home, Amanda was always just a text away. I felt that if an emergency were to arise, she would’ve been there in a moment’s notice. When it came to the Rustic Nook, she thought of everything and had a note or explanation available. We loved our stay and if we ever get the chance to come back to Crete, we hope to be able to stay at the Rustic Nook again!

Very clean apartment in beautiful surroundings. In my opinion, the apartment is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Excellent facilities, everything has really been thought of here. You share the house with another apartment, the terraces are nicely separated from each other. 100% recommendation!

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

Very quiet place with amazing views. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is well equipped and has everything your heart desires. In the surrounding villages are very beautiful beaches, which were hardly visited, as well as small tavernas with super tasty and cheap food. We felt very comfortable.

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Very friendly host, we accidentally got their key with us and he agreed on us shipping it back. Moreover, we took on our way out a bag of groceries that we thought it was ours and he was extremely kind although it was our mistake. The place is super spacious and with great views, totally recommend it!

If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be. Vacation away from tourism in the Cretan mountains. We especially enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the pool. In September, however, it is already much cooler on the mountain than on the coast. Since a car is absolutely necessary anyway, we were able to switch to the beaches on windy or cloudy days. Konstantinos gave us great tips on request and we were offered free cleaning 2x. Clear recommendation!

Had a wonderful stay here with our 2 year old. The villa was absolutely gorgeous with amazing views, especially upstairs. Pool was absolutely lovely. Hosts were really helpful and had great local recommendations.

Wow, what can I say other than this is the best Air B&B we have ever stayed in. The place was gorgeous and in a stunning location. The bedrooms were spacious with great closet storage. The pools were perfect for our family and 2 children. The kitchen was well stocked as well. Dimitri was absolutely amazing! He and his team made our holiday perfect with amazing breakfast every morning, a clean place, and help with all reservations. Our daughters loved the place and the people so much they cried when leaving. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is and we would love to stay again.

Lefteris is very helpful and you can address anything if there are questions. He responds quickly to questions and is very friendly. The space is small and nice. In the middle of nature. You have your peace there and it is only a few meters to the sea. The lawn with the parasols and the loungers is luxury. You just have to cross the street and you are at the sea. It is 2 km by bike to the nearest cafe or tavern or the village of Kastri. It is wonderful to cycle along the sea. I would definitely book the place again.

Had a fantastic 5 days, yes the accommodation is small but the veranda is big with a perfect view of the bay. The drive up from the beach is a little uneven but parking is ample when you arrive, right behind the room with no steps so it’s easy to get your case in. Georgie provided absolutely everything you could possibly need, the bed very comfortable and great AC if needed. Georgia will show you a shortcut path down to the beach and restaurants, you’ll need a torch at night. We loved it there, so peaceful and unspoilt. From the accommodation I walked up the old road then back down through the gorge 4 miles in total and beautiful, don’t try and drive the old road it’s v rough. Excellent food at reasonable prices in the tavernas behind the beach, free sun beds, very friendly people. I can highly recommend Georgias place

We had a wonderful stay, Angelika is a great host, super friendly, warm and helpful. The place was clean and had everything we needed. You might need a car to discover the area, but there‘s also a little beach and a very good restaurant in walking distance. :) I‘d definitely come back!

Palekastro is a small village in the north-east of the island of Crete. For those looking for peace and rural locations, that's the right place. The cottage is very functional, with a full kitchen, washing machine, and very fast Wi-Fi. In the surrounding area, you can go on many excursions, and in the village, simple taverns prepare local food with passion and quality. Not far away, there are also two very beautiful and quality restaurants by the sea. For sea lovers, there are several pristine beaches and even a windsurfing centre. There are also grocery stores and an excellent bakery, while for more important purchases, a 15-minute drive away, there is SITIA, which has several SUPERMARKETS, and on Tuesdays, there is also an interesting market where local people often go shopping. It was a really special holiday for me!

This place is the best place to stay, quite and private, outdoor patio for enjoy cafe or beer but close to great public beach with free parking or waking 20 minutes, same time remote spot to go anywhere and not staying in crazy busy city where is night live and traffic like crazy. 9 minutes to Agios Nikolas if you like that , 1.5 h to Vai beach where Palm trees like in tropical place, 30 minutes to Iropetra and Myrtos on African side on island, beautiful. 30 minutes to 4000 years olive tree and waterfall canyon.

Fantastic stay at this wonderful village house in beautiful peaceful Milatos, we cannot recommend this accommodation highly enough, exactly as pictured and described , host was amazing as was the delicious meal she left for our first night! Great amenities within house too. Great location to drive through mountains to elounda and agios Nikoliaos , we went straight south to beaches there too. All the restaurants on the front were amazing bar with no name fab through to Socrates so friendly and cheap €45 for two with wine . Old neighbour we sat and had a beer with although dialect was limited. Thank you again we will be back and telling everyone to come 🥰

We liked the place very much. There was everything we needed. Communication with the host was also great. Unfortunately, the street was a bit noisy and closer than I thought... Everything is easily accessible by car.

Maria's accommodation was very clean, organized and spacious. We were particularly impressed by the welcome, the treat and the speed of communication. It's great for a couple. Its yard is small, although there is room for parking. We'd definitely go for it again! It is not recommended to visit Sitia without a vehicle as the only access is an uphill road with a steep slope. The same, of course, applies to the whole city.
