Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sintra

They were very friendly and always available for questions and answers. The rooms are very beautiful and comfortable, although the floor can be cold. They had good knifes and frying pans in the kitchen - amazing!🤩 ...and last but not least they have an amazing spa and great massages. I can gladly recommend it.

Lovely holiday house. Didi was our point of contact and she was very friendly and helpful. There were 7 of us, all adults and the house was ideal for us.

Vladimirs place was exactly as described. The location was perfect - close to the main square in town and the beach. It was extremely clean and spacious for the three of us who were visiting. Would recommend and return.

We had a great stay in Lisboa at Chiho and Nuno’s apartment. It was close enough to Alfama to experience the culture but not close enough that it was noisy or busy where we were. I felt very safe. The apartment had everything we needed and was well-equipped. Thanks for having us

We really enjoyed our 3 nights in the historic center of Sintra. It’s a beautiful small town area to be in. The apartment has everything you need. The location is very cool overlooking the main square. We enjoyed watching the town wake up in the mornings. So many restaurants and bakeries just steps from the front door. We had fun with that after coming from the Azores which are very quiet and remote. In the off season of early May, Sintra closes down by 7 pm. There are very few restaurants or shops open once the day tripping tourists leave. We were surprised by that but didn’t mind it as we were tired after our days spent walking around palaces and castles and beautiful gardens. I’d recommend this apartment to anyone as long as they don’t have mobility issues. There are 33 steps to climb once inside the building. Climbing them was worth it for the views of the historic center of Sintra.

It’s our second time here and our stay was as welcoming as the first. Ana and Jorge’s place is perfectly situated near great restaurants one right next door plus a 15 minute walk to Marquês Pombal and Parque Eduardo Sétimo which has a magnificent view of Lisbon and of the castle from the top. Ana and Jorge always checked on us and left a variety of local foods and beverages upon our arrival that we were so grateful for. Even during our stay Jorge left delicious pastries by the door so not to bother us. Highly recommend this apartment. We will definitely return!!

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Altus with seven adults and four kids. The house was clean and comfortable and had plenty do space for everyone. The kids loved the playroom and the games room, and we all enjoyed the fantastic heated pool. The setting is spectacular amongst the vineyard covered hills, and we ate all of our meals outdoors. It was an easy drive to the coast, where we found beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Lina was wonderfully helpful, and let us check in early and out late, which was great for the babies’ nap schedules. The rooms also have blackout shutters, which helped them adjust to the time change. She provided cribs and high chairs for them. We were also really happy that the pool area is fenced and gated, which made it easier for parents to relax during meals on the patio! Finally for the adults, the showers are amazing. Great pressure and really hot water. I’d recommend Lina and Villa Altus to anyone. It really was perfect.

we were a family of 5. The location was perfect for us. Quiet but also not far from everything. Amazing views! The house is charming. It was also nice to have the pool as it got hot.

We spent a few days in Nathy's apartment which has a beautiful view of the ocean. The accommodation is impeccable and very well decorated . Nathy welcomed us very well on arrival and gave us all the necessary information to allow us to have a good stay. And also, we had a basket filled with sweets, wine, bread and other items. I recommend this very well located and exceptional accommodation with this magnificent view of the sea and 5 minutes' walk to the beach.

An unforgettable week in your holiday home Our week in your holiday home was truly a dream. The panoramic view over the ocean and the beach was breathtaking , waking up to that view every morning was pure magic. What made the stay extra special were the small observations that coloured local life. It was fascinating to see how people enthusiastically took selfies at the most beautiful places. It was also impressive to see how suppliers brought their products down the steep stairs – a true art in itself. The balcony was a true paradise: spacious, comfortable and with a view that invited us to enjoy the surroundings for hours. Although we noticed the musty air in the bedroom, we accepted this. With the tips we received to regulate the humidity, we were able to further optimise our stay. A fan for the night would be a welcome addition to improve the air circulation. Manuela was attentive from the beginning to the end, making sure everything was fine. She was very kind and pleasant at all times, and very attentive to our dog. The house was very cozy and quiet. It's true that in the mornings it's very bright and with so much light it's a little difficult for me, but it's fine.

Excellent week spent in a dream location. The place, the setting, the access, everything was there and especially without forgetting Joanna and Ronny who are admirable and available hosts. We recommend it and we will return without hesitation.

Maria Luisa's place is a beautiful home from home, with the added bonus of a really good sized, well maintained pool. We stayed with our two young boys and they were really comfortable there, we had everything we needed. It felt so private, not overlooked by anyone and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We unfortunately had some unexpected health issues whilst we were there, and all we can say is that Luisa went above and beyond for us- something we will never forget. She was an amazing host and we highly recommend her place if you want to explore Sintra and beyond. Just be mindful that Sintra is quite hilly- we managed with a pram but it was definitely a bit of a work out! Taxis & Ubers readily available and a decent price.

Ana's Villa was awesome for a family of 8! It had a perfect number of bedrooms and bathrooms, with a large family room and dinning room to fit us all. Everything was spotless! The outside patio and gardens were immaculate. It was handy to have a pool to ourselves when we wanted to relax. Having a washing machine was handy too. The location was great - walking distance to a large grocery store in a quiet neighbourhood. Being between the coast and the mountains, it was close and easy to get to from Lisbon and Sintra and also many great beaches and restaurants. Ana was amazing too! She communicated quickly and had on-line and personal suggestions for her Villa and things to do in the area. She even helped make dinner reservations for us for a special birthday dinner. We would definitely recommend staying at Ana's Villa!

We hosted an intimate wedding at the Quinta and everyone loved it. It has nice views morning and night. The quinta is big to have some family stay over with us. Antonio is very responsive whenever we need help aswell. A little bit hard to find on google maps or uber/bolt, but you just need to be clear on instructions for guests coming. Sintra town is very closeby too, lots of parking space if you have car 😊

We travelled as a couple. It was a real moment of relaxation. Everything was set up by Alexandra to make us feel at home and to make sure we didn't miss anything. Alexandra is very attentive to our needs and is also very discreet. Everything is similar to the photos and descriptions. We had a fantastic time. We were a group of eight adults and five children between the ages of 7 months and 3 years. There was plenty of space and the swimming pool and sandpit were great. It was lovely to have the outdoor eating space to spend time relaxing, and there was all the practical stuff we needed - two dishwashers, lots of plates and bowls, multiple bathrooms. Sandra was very communicative throughout and made a lot of effort, including buying an extra high chair for us. We would happily stay again and recommend it for a group holiday with children.

We stayed here with 4 adults and a 12 year old - what an amazing experience! This is not just a place to stay, but a true historical adventure. Both Diogo and Ana have clearly put their heart into renovation of the entire village and we thought it was absolutely wonderful. The Casa do Vinho was comfortable, clean, and interesting to explore both inside the house and outside. We loved learning about the house and how it was used as recently as the 1960's for wine production - in the same manner as the Romans brought to Portugal over 1700 years ago! We enjoyed the fresh continental breakfast with all one would need to start the day - including homemade marmalada and a fresh out of the oven warm rice pudding with canela! We also couldn't resist bringing home some of the local Jampal grape wine (by Manz winery but for sale in the check-in area's small country store) and a few bottles of the champagne. We highly recommend a stay at the amazing Mata Pequena town - we will be back!
