Beachfront holiday rental in Sierra Nevada

We had a lovely time at Yan Fang’s place, the location was perfect - we walked to the beach almost every day! It was also convenient to have the Muni metro stop right at the end of the street, we rode the Muni all over town (inexpensive and easy!). The house was clean and comfortable and Yan Fang included extra snacks and kitchen items for us, which was nice. We loved our time here and would recommend.

Great place to stay! Go up for fishing tournament, couldn’t be a better location.

100 year old cabins that have been updated. My cabin had an all new shower! Very comfy bed that seemed brand new. Everything very clean. Beautiful spot in the Feather River Canyon. Quiet except when the trains roll through up the hill— it used to be an active depot. No whistle blowing, but you can hear the rhythm of the rails. Bear in mind that this is 1920s glamping vibes. So if you prefer the Hilton in 2025, you’re not going to like it. But if you love updated old school charm, you’ll love this place. No television (what a relief) and they ask you not to overuse the internet, but plenty of outdoor activities and games, and a private beach on the river. It would be great for a family, or weekend getaway. Thanks to Doug for welcoming me and then letting me have my privacy!

We have stayed here before and the property is beautiful. We certainly cannot beat the location! The host goes above and beyond the kitchen is stocked, not only with spices and tea, all if New York congressman, Charles the paper products you could possibly need aluminum foil, etc. Condiments are abundant. We can’t wait to go back!

This is a great place to stay! The house was so clean..beautiful views..we saw a whale from the family room. Very hospitable, Bernardine was easy to communicate with. Our family cannot wait to return!

Mark and Jacqueline have a beautiful home and property. It was spacious for our 3 families with small children. There were plenty of supplies to make our stay comfortable. The best part was being able to drive down to the river for a swim. We are already planning to book again. Thank you Mark and Jacqueline for the hospitality.

This neighborhood is safe and peaceful. We have stayed at The Dunes numerous times over the last 4 years. Lisa’s home is beautiful and inviting. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed. It is such a gorgeous area and the staff at the front gate is always so helpful too. I had to reach out to Lisa multiple times throughout our stay and each time her responses were quick and respectful. It was a delight to chat with her and we are definitely planning to come back and would rent this home again.

The resort is a perfect getaway spot for families. The villa was very comfortable and had an amazing location (probably the best in entire resort). Next to the pool, amazing view and great for the kids. Would love to come again.

The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

This location is ideal for those who like easy access to hiking, walking, beach, pools etc. Also a short drive to Capitola, and Santa Cruz to the North. Views from the balcony are way better than the pictures. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

I stayed at this lovely home when I was in Truckee for a wedding and it was perfect for my stay. The home was clean and cozy with clear instructions for everything. It is well stocked with plenty of kitchenware, towels, extra blankets, and more. The layout and location were ideal and in a nice quiet neighborhood. There is a big driveway and a garage you can park in. Sean was easy to communicate with and responsive. I didn't need to reach out to him, but it was nice to know he would be available. I would easily stay here again the next time I am up in the Truckee area.

Lakefront location!!! Any closer to the water and you would be getting wet! My wife and I spent a week here and loved it. Constant view of the lake. Great easy parking… a couple steps to the front door. Patio on the lake cannot be beat. We’ll be back.

Amazing views of the Pajaro River and Pacific Ocean. Short walk (300 yards) to the beach along a boardwalk or enjoy the views from the livingroom through the large picture windows or deck. Perfect for a couple or young family (the two twin beds in the second bedroom are quite small but my 20 something daughters had no complaints). Abundant bird watching opportunities along with the occasional sea lion\seal and otter.

The home was beautiful and clean. There was a plumbing issue that was happening upon our arrival to the home and there was a very bad very strong odor. They had a plumber come and fix the issue, but the plumber told us this had happened before about a month prior at this home. I would recommend updating the property photos to not include the kayaks/ boats. While not listed in the rental some of our guests were eager to use them, but were disappointed. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and the showers had good water pressure. If the retaining wall issue is ever fixed we would consider staying again. Overall we had a great stay.

Anne’s cottage on the beach was absolutely wonderful! It’s such a special place—my family and I had a peaceful, relaxing stay. The views of the ocean are beautiful, and the beach is just steps away. We also loved having a few local restaurants within walking distance. Anne was the sweetest host—so kind, responsive, and attentive. She made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The house was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. We truly hope to stay here again someday.

Had a great stay! Parking was included which was great for the area. So easy to walk to the beach with all our things and kiddos. Close to all the restaurants and shops.

My son and I really enjoyed our stay at Ron and Donna’s. The accommodations were comfortable, peaceful and private, with the most amazing views and direct access to walking trails along the beach!!! Ron was always very friendly and responsive, although we didn’t need much as their attention to detail was spot on, and everything listed was provided. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on the deck above the creek. Surrounded by beauty and the sounds of the creek created a sweet spot! The lighting was an excellent touch. The accommodations had everything that you need and the bed was extremely comfortable! We would stay again!!!

Elizabeth was at the property wrapping up a couple things when I arrived early. She was welcoming and friendly allowing me to get settled while she finished up. The house is really cute and worked well for our purposes, shared accomodations for a conference with a collegue. The kitchen was well stocked for making meals with breakfast/coffee/fruit available as well. Each bedrooms has a bathroom next door and are separated (split level) which worked well for us. The driveway accomodates one car and there was plenty of street parking. The house is close to a commercial strip with all kinds of restaurants, shops and cafe. One can hear street noise such as trash pick up on Wednesday morning and unloading at the cafe around the corner. I was able to walk to Monterey with the majority of it on the bike/walking path which was really enjoyable.

cute spot outside san francisco! i will say, main st is a bit narrow but easy to get to!
