“The house has everything we needed in Sierpe, and Juan was very friendly and helpful. The best WiFi we've had in a private house in Costa Rica, but no hot water (which we didn't miss given the temperatures!) Sierpe River Camp provides you with your own private room out in the true Costa Rican wilderness, many kilometers away from any type of civilization, where there are countless adventures to be had. We're located directly on the edge of the Sierpe river, with a rainforest behind the property, and the Pacific Ocean just a 5 minute boat ride away. Please note: the location of this listing is where the office for Sierpe River Camp is located. The true location is far down river.
“It was an adventure to enter 25 kilometers by boat through the canals of Sierpe, until we reached a hostel, very well equipped, where we stayed in front of the wetland with all the comforts. Carlos Daniel accompanies you and gives a lot of security. During the day you can see different birds and crocodiles, and at night an incredible sky without light pollution, and the relaxing sound of the jungle. RECOMMENDED...! ”
Charming, colorful, fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom modern villa located on riverfront property with a private boat dock. This is Costa Rica at its most stunning and diverse, as it was 20 years ago, yet with all the features and comforts of home! This is a tropical paradise in a tranquil, scenic location!
“We really enjoyed our stay in Sierpe. Squirrel monkeys passed through the property daily. Super fun to watch! Lots of birds on the property as well. Getting picked up at the private dock to do a boat tour out to Corcovado was very convenient! There are lots of toilets in Costa Rica that aren’t equipped to handle flushing toilet paper. Sierpe is mostly a no flush zone. We were asked to dispose of our own soiled toilet paper, so we had to bring it in to our rental car and find a dumpster down the road. Well worth it for us because the wildlife viewing from the deck was amazing. (Just noting so that other Airbnb folk are prepared.) Having laundry facilities during a wet hot tropical trip was awesome. Clean dry clothes were a real treat. (Bring your own laundry soap. Not supplied.) Also, you may need to go without A/C while the dryer is on and without showers while the washing machine is on, but it was worth it.”
