Holiday rentals with lake access in Shorewood

The little yellow cottage was comfortable and convenient. The two of us and our adult son were comfortable with plenty of space. We know the area and so knew it would be convenient to everything we would need while in town. Yet is quiet and peaceful. Neighbors were friendly ("hello", "nice day", lots of rain recently") but not intrusive. I got a compliment on the limestone retaining wall along the sidewalk. I just smiled and said thank you. Felt very safe and secure.

I can't say enough about this house. I is tucked away in the woods next to a lake. There is a walking path that goes over a bridge and around the lake that was perfect for the morning walk. The décor is very retro, but it has enough technology to make it still be convenient. We loved the place.

Wonderful place! This is a quiet home in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The photos don't do it justice. It's a light-filled, beautifully-appointed space sheltered by leafy green trees on the front deck. There are many thoughtful touches throughout. The beds and linens are soft and cozy. Good water pressure. Very clean! The apartment is centrally located and just a short drive to so many great restaurants, bakeries, attractions. It's a short walk to beautiful Lake Bde Maka Ska--great for running, walking or biking around! Chris was a very responsive host. He was available to answer any question we had and did so quickly. This AirBnB was a great choice for us! Thank you for letting us stay here, Chris and Jon!

Fabulous place with walking trails by the river right across the street. Very cozy bed and linens. Well stocked kitchen and welcome snacks- always a nice touch. Perfect for two as there is only one bathroom. In nice weather we would have enjoyed the beautiful deck and yard. Hosts are delightful and great communicators.

The house was super clean and spacious. The photos are exactly what you’re getting. Lake and dock are a great addition, not many boats on the lake either very calm vibe. You’re gonna get some good rest the beds are amazing ! If you forgot anything the marketplace down the street has you covered (1 min drive). Would recommend 👍🏻

This well-equipped home is the perfect base for exploring Minneapolis. It's convenient to lots of activities and restaurants, but a tranquil spot to relax with plenty of space both inside and outside. Highly recommend.

Jeff's house was perfect for our girls trip.There was plenty of space for 5 of us to gather and also have private time space. The location is wonderful with the lake in front,we enjoyed watching all the dog walkers on the trails. The best was the free live music at the pavilion across the lake. Very relaxing place with good vibes

We had a wonderful stay at Colleen Louise's place and felt like home. Pack your bags and everything you need is there for you. The pack n play and high chair were great for us as we were traveling with an 8 month old. Colleen Louise was very responsive and was an amazing host! Would definitely stay again when in town visiting family.

We needed a place to sleep after spending the day with family and Lucie’s place provided. It was quite clean and nice view.

The peaceful and beautiful location of this apartment, walkable to Harriet Lake, can’t be overstated. The unit itself is on the top floor of a charming older building, in a well-kept neighborhood graced with towering trees. The unit itself had everything I and my two adult children needed — very comfortable rooms and beds for all, a well-stocked kitchen, a bathroom where everything worked as it should (plenty of hot water), and of course, that gorgeous outdoor deck right off the living room, where we spent so much of our time. We plugged in the lights at night and it was magical. The location meant we were close enough to walk down to Harriet Lake and then run the 3-mile loop around, finishing the run off with a beer or a delicious ice cream at the Bread and Pickle, near the outdoor amphitheater where, if the stars align, you can find someone on stage singing about love, grief, and redemption. So many great restaurants all around. Khâluna was fantastic — don’t think, just go!

Enjoyed our stay at Sydney’s place. She was very helpful and it was a cozy home! Lovely town and definitely need to try the smash burgers at Washington Square!

We enjoyed the beautiful, very clean, comfortable and well stocked rental. Thank you for working with us on a last minute change of plans due to health challenges. A truly relaxing vacation!

This is a safe place to stay. The streets are dead-end backing up to a lake. No traffic, it's best thing about this place. It's a typical older 4 apartment building. There are two tenants and two rentals. Tenants kept to themselves. The place is not high end but clean and gets the job done especially for the price. I would consider renting again. Remember, Minnesota is a Marijuana state, and you smell it everywhere.

I was on the road for 23 hours before finally arriving at Tina’s. It was my first time to Minnesota and I am very glad that I chose her place for my family and I. It was peaceful, clean, quiet and very homely. We slept so soundly. It felt as though I hadn’t left home in how at peace we were. Tina responded to any queries I had promptly. I was clean, the kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom is very clean. The only downside for me was that I didn’t book her place for a longer time. I am definitely going back for a longer visit. If you’re still reading this please book already before someone else takes your dates. You won’t regret it one bit! 😀

It's a great location on Lake Street, close to top restaurants such as 6Smith and a short walk to shops and the beautiful Wayzata Bay. The unit is spacious and just as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and plan to return.

This location was fantastic for our family of 3! The home is lovely, immediately felt comfortable and we were able to enjoy the outdoor deck area so much! For families, this is a fantastic location. 2 blocks to the beach, one block to nice park on a quiet street and the hosts were amazing at having the home baby proofed and ready for our arrival. Overall, it was the little touches and kind hosts that make this place truly stand out, can’t wait to visit again!

What a charming, cozy and spotless cottage in a very private setting! The description was on point! Very quiet, wonderful neighbors and accessible to parks, restaurants, shopping, etc. Communication with the host was excellent with any concerns! She was lovely to chat with. Absolutely loved this place!!! Simply adorable and gorgeous views! The sunsets were amazing! The water was perfectly clear... very quiet area! I want to retire and move here; unfortunately, I did not win the lottery last night..LOL. We will definitely come back!! Would love to bring the grandkids; the bunkbeds are very cute!! Oh and the hosts were very responsive!!!

We have stayed at Little House several times before and it is always a wonderful experience. I would say it's our favorite Airbnb location in the Twin Cities and if it's available to book, we always do!

We had a lovely stay at this cozy cabin right on the lake. The location was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. We especially loved waking up to the beautiful view of the water each morning and watching all the birds on the water. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet lakeside getaway!

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous!! It has so much to offer with a beautiful view on the lake, a hot tub, a fire pit area, a beautiful walking trail, and so much more! It was the perfect place to celebrate a bachelorette weekend and so many amazing memories were made here. The host was very helpful and always answered any questions. The house was stocked with lots of cooking supplies and cleaning products that made it easy to stay there. I hope to be able to come back to this cottage in the future because it was the best weekend!!
