Renovated and reopened in April 2026 Based on customer feedback, we have expanded the property to allow direct access to the bathroom and toilet from the living room, and added a new outdoor deck and sauna building. Okuniwa is a private rental accommodation located in the mountains of Kiso, Nagano Prefecture, limited to one group per day. Large windows offer expansive views of the mountain range and village, while the interior is enveloped in the warmth of wood and soft light. The property features an outdoor deck and a private Estonian-style sauna with relatively low temperatures and löyly (steam), providing a deeply relaxing and comfortable experience. We especially recommend enjoying the sauna in the crisp morning air. During your stay, you can leisurely enjoy the sauna, fresh air, reading, cooking, and the scenery. It's easily accessible to Tsumago-juku and the Nakasendo road, making it ideal as a base for sightseeing or as a quiet retreat. June in Kiso is a season when the rain-soaked greenery deepens, creating a soft and beautiful landscape when viewed from indoors. Even on rainy days, you can still enjoy the sauna, reading, cooking, and relaxing indoors. This is also recommended for those who want to avoid over-scheduling sightseeing and prefer to spend time quietly at their accommodation.

Entire house rental old private house inn where you can stay like you live [room-only plan]

This is a renovated 150-year-old private house that is limited to one group. We are a family business, and we will welcome you with a husband and wife and two daughters (4 years old and 1 year old). We hope that guests will cook their own meals and feel like they are actually living in an old private house. If you wish, dinner and breakfast can be added as a paid option. If you are cooking for yourself, we can prepare a set of ingredients from southern Shinshu, so you can cook with your hands free, and we will provide the necessary support. There is also a paid option for using the fireplace and the kettle. There are mountains and rivers where you can play safely near the inn, and you can also enjoy activities on the river and light mountain climbing.

We renovated a 150-year-old traditional house, and it is a one-group-limited accommodation where you can enjoy food and experiences. It is run by a married couple. A chef is on hand to help prepare meals and support experiences. We hope to provide a warm and intimate time like a family in a limited time. We will welcome you as a couple with two daughters (4 and 1 years old). The capacity is 5 people. After dinner, the host will stay in a different house. A private entire log house for 1 group per day in Nakagawa Village, Nagano _ one of "the most beautiful villages in Japan." Opened in 2025. Warm wooden interior, private garden, home theater, and evening bonfires. Furniture and decor from Nordic pieces to local artists. 2 bedrooms, up to 6 guests. Perfect for families, friends, or a trip with your dog (1 pet, small-medium). We moved from Tokyo after a 500-day world trip. Insects may appear outdoors. Check-in: 15:00–18:00 Check-out: by 11:00
