Less than a 10-minute drive from the center of Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture, a 128-year-old Japanese house has been renovated as an inn in Arakawa, a lush green area, with the concept of "a space that is both ordinary and extraordinary". It retains the charm of a traditional farmhouse while adding modern comforts. We provide a space where visitors can forget about time and relax from the heart. If you walk a little up from the inn, you can see the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Nakamura Line and the Sukumo Line from the bridge. Self-service, but we also offer 5L of Shin-Takumi Draught Beer, all-you-can-drink! The building is a renovated old house in the countryside. You can feel the nostalgia of a space that has a long edge, a large tatami mat mat living room, and a wooden bath. There is also a wooden deck in the courtyard, which is an overwhelming private space with mountains, fields, and plenty of space to look out over. Parking is available, and there is wifi. It takes about 20 minutes by car to get to the nearest supermarket and convenience store, so we hope to get you ready with food and more. Here are some cooking utensils, stoves, charcoal, and more.

As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

Ricefields, Rivers and Mountains

This house is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern making it convenient but also authentically Japanese. Mountains and ricefields are beside you, the Shimanto River can be heard. The ground floor is all yours. It's spacious with a large tatami sleeping room that can become two. The A/C is only in one room if the doors are closed. There is no central heating. Restaurants are within 10min or you can prepare local foods in your own equipped kitchen. It’s designed for long and short stays.
