Less than a 10-minute drive from the center of Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture, a 128-year-old Japanese house has been renovated as an inn in Arakawa, a lush green area, with the concept of "a space that is both ordinary and extraordinary". It retains the charm of a traditional farmhouse while adding modern comforts. We provide a space where visitors can forget about time and relax from the heart. If you walk a little up from the inn, you can see the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Nakamura Line and the Sukumo Line from the bridge. Self-service, but we also offer 5L of Shin-Takumi Draught Beer, all-you-can-drink! The design of the space is designed by Muji Ryojin, Inc., and stores Muji products such as furniture, appliances, interior, and amenities. A house in the middle of a forest. Enjoy mountain life in one of the few magnificent old houses built by Miyadaiku. At the house at the end of a fairytale forest road, you can BBQ, make a fire, boil a Goemon bath, and enjoy natural play that can only be experienced in the mountains. There are no street lights, and at night you can see the starry sky. Spending time feeling the mountain with all your senses, which can be seen in different ways depending on the season, reminds you of the rich, peaceful time that has been forgotten in modern times. Centered on a magnificent large pillar, it is an old house with earthen walls and built-in storage, but the first floor is covered with pure cedar boards, giving it a new feel. The water area features a newly built island kitchen and a large wash basin. The bath is a Goemon bath that uses both wood and gas, so you can cook with wood or use hot water. Outside the house, there is a friendly sign cat named Aosuke, who will come up to you if you are outside. It is located about 15 minutes by car from the Ishikari Mountain ropeway, making it easy to get to the mountains.

Enjoy an extraordinary space that you can't taste in the city, such as the rivers and nature of the four seasons. This inn is packed with a veranda on the second floor with a view of cypress baths, tree houses, sunken bridges, outdoor dining spaces with roofs, sup, sea kayak rentals, and art work surfaces. We recommend 6 guests for a relaxing stay.(Futons for up to 10 people will be provided, but it will be narrow) We have a water server as tap water is not drinkable in the landscape water. You can relax and unwind without worrying about other guests or the surrounding noise. On a clear day, you can see the beautiful stars, and Shimanto River Wild Bird Sanctuary is right next door, making it ideal for morning walks. [About meals] If you book a barbecue menu in advance, We can prepare ingredients unique to this area, such as a set meal with Shimanto beef, said to be a phantom luxury meat, and wild ayu and eel from the Shimanto River. * Please order from the "Lancharu Hotori" website at least three days before your stay. In Shimanto City, which is said to be Little Kyoto, the capital letter Dousenki It takes place every year on July 16 on the lunar calendar and can be seen from the window or garden of the inn.

The building is a renovated old house in the countryside. You can feel the nostalgia of a space that has a long edge, a large tatami mat mat living room, and a wooden bath. There is also a wooden deck in the courtyard, which is an overwhelming private space with mountains, fields, and plenty of space to look out over. Parking is available, and there is wifi. It takes about 20 minutes by car to get to the nearest supermarket and convenience store, so we hope to get you ready with food and more. Here are some cooking utensils, stoves, charcoal, and more.

There is a small river and a nice old house of Japanese style next to the house .The tool of the barbecue is prepared. （Please bring an ignition agent and charcoal） it's comfortable in summer as the temperature is a few degrees lower than in the city. As of 2024, mobile phones have become much easier to connect to. （no wi-fi） The air conditioner was installed in 2022, but it is only on the first floor.Enjoy the natural air. There is a fan. Firewood isn't available from May as it will be warmer.

This house was designed mainly for foreigners.

The owner lives outside the prefecture and uses it as a vacation home. We cherish the extraordinary space by decorating with paintings and furnishings that give you a taste of Japanese culture. I will welcome you as a valued guest who can come to my private home, so face-to-face check-in and common sense conversation and interaction are required. Wifi is available. A parking lot is also provided. Transportation is not convenient in the mountainous area, so please go out by car if possible.
