The Tower, Thornton Castle

Traditional & relaxed accommodation in the 16th century Scottish tower of our family home. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Unique turret annex in Upper Donside

Our bright yellow Broom now out! Situated in the Cairngorms National Park in Strathdon, a short walk away from the hamlet of Bellabeg. The Turret offers a tranquil setting in 2.5 acres of private woodland, it has its own entrance and is a self-contained totally sound insulated annex to the main house (where the owners live). The setting has spectacular south facing views of the Deeside hills and is surrounded by farmland and wildlife. Completely off the beaten track with glorious dark skies.

Bridge Cottage is a recently renovated crofter’s cottage near Glenlivet, on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The ancient Packhorse Bridge, visible from kitchen and garden, offers stunning views in every season and is famously featured on the Glenlivet Whisky Logo. The Cabin is a self catering one room chalet that contains 2 single beds, table, chairs, armchairs and a kitchen. An enclosed bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is included. Water is provided by the Cromdale hills via filtration system. The Cabin is fully insulated and heated for a cosy environment. Entertainment consists of TV, video & bluetooth boom bar speaker. Placement of The Cabin is close to the back of the house which provides privacy for guests. WiFi is available.

The Farm Bothy Cottage

The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

Blairfindy Farm Bothy

Self Catering accommodation located within the Cairngorms and the Glenlivet Crown Estate A quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle, ideal for couples who looking for a secluded country location. The accommodation is a separate annex to the farmhouse which dates back to the 1700’s and was once occupied by John Grant the founder of the famous Glenfarclas Distillery. The Speyside area is famous for its distilleries and the Glenlivet distillery is located 5 mins drive away.

Minmore Cottage in the heart of Glenlivet

Minmore Cottage is a lovely 2-bedroom stone-built cottage nestled in the Cairngorms national park with stunning views over the River Livet and Ben Rinnes. It was originally farm office for Minmore house back in the 1800’s when the founders of The Glenlivet Distillery the Smith family lived at Minmore. It provides first class self-catered facilities and has a fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen and luxurious fittings throughout the house.

Woodend Retreat nestled in the heart of Speyside

A beautiful and tranquil setting, which is peaceful and relaxing. Facilities include a double bed in the main bedroom and a large sofa bed in the lounge area, both of which can be used as double beds or split into 2 singles. The property is a converted attic space and therefore has a sloping ceiling so be careful not to bump your head! We are in the heart of the Whisky Trail with many distilleries nearby, so a visit and a wee dram is a must!
