Holiday rentals with breakfast in Shenandoah Valley

A small group of friends and I stayed at Anne’s place for our best friends wedding. Needless to say, this was the perfect spot. Anne’s place was utterly beautiful and peaceful. The house was so cozy and quaint, the family photos on the wall that depicted the home from a different generation made our stay that much more special. We felt so at home and it was the perfect place to unwind and celebrate our friend. Anne went above and beyond by providing us with fresh eggs, juices, and a variety of other breakfast items. Cooking in the rustic kitchen was hands down our favorite part! 10/10 would recommend staying at Anne’s place!

We had a fantastic stay at Nick and Liz's place. The house was perfect for two couples, allowing us our space and own bathrooms and great communal areas to hang out. It was an easy 6 minute drive from the house into Middleburg, and Nick and Liz provided great local food recommendations. We were just there for a weekend for a wedding and found ourselves wishing we could extend our stay.

The house was everything we hoped and more! The hosts clearly give a great deal of thought to their guests' comfort, with so many little details covered. It was great to arrive after a long drive and find snacks and breakfast foods in the fridge. Also when I realized I had forgotten a personal care item, I was fairly amazed to see that the hosts provided a variety of those easily forgotten things -- making my stay that much easier. We also truly loved having our morning coffees on the sun porch, and playing games of corn hole in the beautifully maintained back yard. We would absolutely stay here again!

The place was absolutely perfect. It was convenient, peaceful, complete, and she was very accommodating. Will definitely return for future blacksburg visits!

The Hideaway Oasis was a great find, clean, well-stocked and Katie’s hospitality was top notch! Between the flexibility with our check-in and the personalized special surprises for the kids and dogs, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer host. Katie went out of her way to welcome us… sooo appreciated after a busy day of packing and dealing with movers. Fun game room, relaxing outdoor area… we loved listening to the birds singing while enjoying our morning coffee. This is THE place to stay when visiting Fort Greg-Adams! Thank you, Katie!

Staying at the guest house at Long Acres Alpaca Farm was such a peaceful and unique experience! The setting is serene, surrounded by rolling hills and, of course, the charming alpacas that made the whole stay extra special. The guest house itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed-comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen with some fruit and snacks, and lovely touches that made it feel like home. We also appreciated the opportunity to see and interact with the alpacas. Sarah was warm, welcoming, and happy to share about the farm and the animals, which added a personal and memorable touch to our stay. Highly recommend this stay if you’re looking for a peaceful countryside retreat with a little something extra.

The place was great to stay at. Was exactly what I expected. The hosts answered fast and gave very detailed instructions which was very helpful. Even gave a video explaining the area and parking. I would definitely stay again here.

Such a great space with everything you need. You’ll enjoy your view in the comfort of the space. The view and the environment were great but having a place to be comfortable in was even better.

Great stay! It was an awesome location and there was lots to do within walking distance. Also appreciated the food that was present for us on arrival. There was a small but very nice backyard where we were able to make a fire one night. Host was very informative and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Very cozy and cute stay close to Charlottesville! It’s super close to town and easy to ride share. Property is very peaceful and relaxing to be at.

We absolutely loved Martha’s place! Great location, especially being so close to everything. Bed is super comfortable! The best part is how clean the apartment is, it is the cleanest air b&b we have stayed in! Martha has everything you need for your stay, including breakfast! Highly recommend!

Beautifully decorated and extremely clean! Had everything we could have possibly wanted and the location was perfect for visiting wineries and breweries! We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area!

We loved it and felt right at home! We attended my son’s graduation from @RoanokeCollege and it was an easy drive! Mark was responsive and amazing the whole weekend! Highly recommend!! We will stay again for certain!!

It was spotless, well-designed, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home—only better. The decor was stylish and fun, exactly as shown in the listing, with every corner carefully curated. From the vibrant color pops to the wall of games and puzzles, everything was picture-perfect. The snack setup with wine and treats? Such a generous and personal welcome. Mindie herself was a joy—kind, communicative, and truly thoughtful. It is always a pleasure to stay with Angelique. Her property is always clean and fresh. It feels like coming home and is very cozy. The amenities are wonderful and Angelique thinks of everything when she adds her personal touches to the apartment. She is always pleasant and responsive. This is a great place to stay because you are not in the heart of the city and that takes you away from the hustle and bustle, the noise, and all the traffic in town. This is just a great place to go and unwind and feel welcomed and happy.

We had a peaceful stay. Lisa and Scott go out of their way to accommodate. There are a lot of hikers coming through and all kinds of accommodations for hikers. A real blessing for people looking to pause on their journey.

It was a very short notice booking…like an hours notice…Kathy and her husband Martin accommodated me. I am so appreciative of that. Martin met me on arrival and checked me in. A VERY pleasant man. He was very kind and helpful. He was so attentive even though he’s recovering from knee surgery, his knee was very swollen. Very tough man! The area was out of the way, and very beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay. The decor was personal. Kathy’s photos and art decorated the place as well as items from their travels. Thank you so much.

The Duck Inn has been one of our favorite B&B experiences so far! Beautiful fields and flowers were right outside our door, as well as ducks, chickens, goats, cats, dogs, and a creek a short walk away! Our living quarters were spotless and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

This was one of my favorite AirBnBs. Cynthia’s cottage is beautifully designed and very comfortable. My husband and I stayed there one night for our wedding anniversary. The fresh flowers, pastries, chocolates, and other thoughtful details made the place feel very warm and caring. It was a gem! It was above and beyond any place we have stayed before, and we would not hesitate to go back again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay for the second time with Brian and Sinziana. The suite was exactly as we remembered it and their home has lovely gardens and is conveniently located. It was quiet and peaceful and they were outstanding hosts, making sure we had everything we needed. The homemade breakfast was outstanding and we could not have had a better stay! We look forward to staying there again the next time we are in Frederick.

We loved our stay at Graham Ordinary! John and Kathy were so knowledgeable and gave such great recommendations of what to do and see during our stay. The mead tasting was very fun and informative! Highly recommend!

What a fun stay! We got to witness the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen here. The animals on the farm are so friendly. I was able to take my dog for the stay and he met bigger animals for the first time and they became friends instantly. I loved what they have done with opening up the family farm to enjoy. It was very personable and they made us feel like family. The homemade country breakfast was also one of my favorites. We were visiting the area hiking and decided to stay since it was a few hours away and I am glad we were able to stay here. Although our visit was short, it was sweet. Thank you for welcoming my family.. beautiful stay.
