Family-friendly holiday rentals in Seneca County

Alec was a great host! He responded very quickly every time, and when our initial booking ran into an issue, he was quick to not only resolve it, but offer alternate dates which actually worked out better in the long-run. The property itself is on the rustic side, has amazing views, is right on the lake, and offers a lot of peace and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked for several meals we had at the house (why go anywhere else?), but we were glad we brought our own coffee and toiletries. Kids will love the loft area, and there are plenty of places to spread out to enjoy the scenery. Finally, in an area where AirBnB bookings are very expensive with outrageous cleaning fees or surprise "damage deposits", this property is very affordable with no surprises! We'd definitely stay again!

This location is beautiful! Right on the lake. Easy to go down the stairs to the water. Randall was an excellent host and very responsive. The home is lovely and well kept. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! We used the canoe and kayaks and had a wonderful time on the lake. We would most definitely rent this again and we’ll keep it on our list! Highly recommend!

We had a great time a Merry's place. Beautiful, old house, but very well kept. We walked into Geneva several times ; less than a mile walk. Hot tub was great, as was the propane fireplace. Just so comfortable and welcoming. We really loved the old house, and Merry was super accommodating. Great visit!!

We really enjoyed our time at the Peppermint Cottage. It was freezing cold and snowy when we got there and it made us feel instantly warm and cosy when we walked in and a fire was already going in that beautiful fireplace! It was a quiet and peaceful location, and we enjoyed a quiet nights rest. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay!

What a beautiful, relaxing home. i needed a place to relax after a long day of volunteering and this was beyond my expectations.

Zachary was one of the most helpful, responsive hosts I have come across with incredibly prompt responses to every text/email. From the moment we arrived we had high confidence all would go well and this is 95% of the game as far as I am concerned. We were a bit concerned upon arrival that street noise might be an issue but it turned out to not be at all.

Third time we’ve stayed here and will again! Bucolic surroundings. Halfway between Ithaca and Trumansburg, we find it very convenient to everything. The property is well maintained and David is a fantastic host. We love all the little extras and the quaint decor.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at Jan's Lake Ontario Style House! This beautiful, quintessential home embodies the perfect vacation feel and boasts stunning views of the lake. The property is amazing, and the high-end hot tub house with its incredible view is a real highlight of the stay-- perfect for a relaxing retreat, especially in March when it's cold and gloriously windy! The house itself is beautifully appointed, with every amenity you could need. Don't worry if you think you’ve forgotten something—Jan has provided everything you could imagine! The kitchen was a joy for both cooking and baking, and the dining room offered spectacular views to enhance every meal. Jan was an exceptional host, sending us daily recommendations that led us to wonderful antique shopping and cozy cafes. We also enjoyed a short drive to Rochester, just over 30 minutes away, where we explored museums and had an amazing meal at a local restaurant. We hope to be back soon!

James undersold his house on his listing. The pictures do not do it justice. the lake area by the dock has a fantastic deck that was perfect for the kids to hang out. Also the house has a washer/dryer combo which made life easy with a newborn. Excellent location very convenient to vineyards. Overall loved the place would definitely come back.

A great place to stay to be near Family on Seneca Lake. The deck is amazing with a wonderful view of the lake and the horses in the foreground.

Cheryl’s cabin was an excellent place to stay for exploring the Finger Lakes. Just minutes from multiple wineries and close to some great hiking. The cabin was even nicer than it looks in the pictures, everything was very clean and neat. There are two other cabins on the property but we were never bothered by noise and it still felt very private. It wasn’t quite warm enough to utilize the dock by the lake yet but we walked down there a few times and it was absolutely lovely. I’m sure it makes for a great time during summer! Cheryl was extremely proactive and responsive before and during our stay. She answered our questions quickly and let us know some good dog walking spots nearby. If you are looking for a dog-friendly rental in the finger lakes I would absolutely recommend this cabin!

Wow! Okay so i’m not going to lie, I was slightly nervous of having my Bachelorette here given that some of my friends are boujee but WOW this place was perfect for the 14 of us. Pauline was super accommodating for our check in time, had enough tables and chairs for us to put outside for a hibachi dinner AND there was so much space in general that it never felt like there were so many of us (which was amazing). It’s also so centrally located so it was easy for us to get to the wineries, downtown geneva, etc. The shop on the property is also so cute - got some goodies to take home (: Worth the price!!!! Highly recommend and would come back.

We had the best girls overnight! We loved how secluded and peaceful the house was. The surroundings were beautiful and we enjoy every minute. On the deck it felt as though you were at a retreat. The house was plenty big for the group of 6 we had and it was very clean and tidy. So thankful for all the amenities and how stocked the cabinets were with must haves. Our only complaint was that we wish we had planned 2-3 nights instead of 1. Would looooove to come back and make it a yearly stay. Thank you for sharing your amazing place 🙏

Great stay with friends on the lake for girlfriends birthday…a little rainy but her and I took the pedal boat out as soon as we got there. Lots of amenities in the house and movie projector and fireplace are fun. Went to Watkins Glen and nearby Taughannock state park. Lots of beautiful places to see and good options for food and drink and fun with friends around. Very beautiful we would visit again thank you Janice !

We had a wonderful stay at Tina’s place for a girls weekend! The location was great and lake was beautiful! Tina was a great host, she was responsive and just down the road if we needed anything. The only downside was the water pump was a bit noisy in one of the bedrooms. It was a relaxing a fun weekend!

We loved staying at Sarah's place! It was the perfect space for us as a family of 3 and we instantly felt at home when we arrived. The neighborhood was very quiet and our dog loved the fenced in yard with deck. We also enjoyed watching the fireflies and enjoying the bottle of wine Sarah had left for us from the porch in the evenings. The location was great- easy to get into town for food and coffee, 30 minutes from Watkins Glen, 20 minutes to Ithaca, and lots of wineries that were an easy drive. We hope to be back!

Gratitude and Grace is an escape from the ordinary. Its a beautiful unique property in the country that was just about perfect for me and 7 bridesmaids for my low key Bachelorette. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, as it is normally a wedding venue. The inside of the mansion is eclectic and vintage. Ron is very nice and accommodating as well. Some things i may improve: Soap was watered down in all bathrooms Beds werent exactly comfortable, they seemed very old. Hot tub was just nice, It didnt get very hot though and the water was a bit cloudy The most comfortable bed is in the tiny rennovated garden shed. Although peaceful, we did have to request it be opened so we had the 8th bed as advertised. 2 girls had to bunk up together the 1st night, no big deal but would have been nice to know the 8th bed wasnt automatically available. The 7th bed is a fun loft with a ladder above a king sized bed. It was cute, but the bed was very uncomfortable so no one wanted it.

They were very good people who took care of all my needs to make my stay enjoyable. I would stay there again. The next time I go in that area.

We had a fantasic stay. Great for a large group. AC was key upstairs!!!! Host was very thoughtfull in the little details. Would come back and stay again.

We loved this place!! There was so many amenities that we weren’t able to use because we weren’t in the house a ton as we were in a wedding, but boy did we miss out on them! We had a perfect stay and would absolutely stay again if we were ever in the area again. No complaints at all!

Great home. We didn’t use the pool but it was sparkling clean and beautiful as was the yard and house. Mike’s a great host and the beds were super comfortable. Close to family and a good place to stay.

A great rustic getaway! It was great being between cayuga and seneca lakes - everything was a 20 min drive to see beautiful falls in every direction, great wineries/cideries (finger lakes cider house had amazing food to go with the cider), great restaurants (stonecat and elf in the oak) and Ithaca Farmer's Market (must see - so plan a Sat or Sun there). Sunsets were fabulous from the porch and over the fields and the hens were a joy to experience - so cute - and the gentle Q was so good with our cautious rescue pup. But the best part of the stay was Carey's hospitality - tending to every need and providing great suggestions of things to do/see tailored to our interests and giving us a true taste of the area - with local fresh eggs, fruit, wonderful baked bread, granola, cider, wine, cheese, baked goods and the best yogurt ever! We didn't even miss the tv (during football and world series even)!

We had a fantastic stay at Deborah's property! The location was perfect for exploring the Finger Lakes, and the house was cozy and accommodating for our group of six, plus our dog. It was also infant-friendly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The hot tub and games were definite highlights, adding to the fun as we traveled from Canada to connect with family. Deborah's communication was excellent throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property!
