Apartment holiday rentals in Selma

I'm reviewing Josh, the operator, since we didn't actually get to stay in the place we rented. A few days before our checkin, Josh messaged that the place we were renting was unavailable due to some water issues. He provided a choice of two other properties at which we could stay. We choose one and asked if we could use the parking at the original rental because we were in town for a tournament and the parking was very close. He said we could and provided a pass, and that was great. So, we didn't get to stay in the apartment, but throughout the whole booking, Josh was super responsive and helpful.

Philip's place was very clean. It's in a great neighborhood with restaurants and shops in the same complex . The beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.

Great apartment in the heart of downtown Montgomery! The place was clean, nicely furnished, and the bed was super comfortable. It’s in a perfect location—close to great restaurants and nightlife. The only issue I had was with the WiFi—it connected fine on my phone, but I couldn’t get my iPad or PlayStation to work with it, which was a bit of a bummer during downtime. I did try unplugging the router for a quick fix with no luck, but I didn’t try contacting the host regarding this issue, so it’s possible it could’ve been fixed. That said, the host was always available and responsive, and overall it was a great stay for a great price. Would definitely recommend!

Place was great had everything needed. The only thing is it close to the street so a bit nosy some nights but over all great! Had an issue with the sink but was answered within minutes considering it was after 10PM, the issue was resolved by the next morning! Great communication with the hosts.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. We had a lovely experience, the property has lots of space, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the WiFi was fast and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We also appreciated the office we could use for work, the free laundry (shared with one other room). Derek was also super responsive. When we first arrived there was an issue with the WiFi which he resolved really quickly and after that it worked flawlessly and was really fast. We also didn't have any salt and some arrived at our doorstep very quickly! The only thing to note is that the next door neighbour has a large guard dog which does bark from time to time early in the morning. However there's not a lot that can be done about that! Other than that the neighbourhood is really quiet and it's walking distance (less than ten minutes walk) to a number of good restaurants. Overall everything was great, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay in Montgomery. Josh's apt was very clean and peaceful .Also the location was great and Josh always was available responding to any questions that I had. I'll highly recommend booking this apt as I plan on doing on my next visit.

This house was well kept, beautiful painting, neat appliances and very peaceful and safe environment. The host was just fantastic with communication.

Anne's place is like combination historical museum and art gallery. It's quirky and comfortable. Enjoyed hours out on the balcony; watching two fog banks come together under Edmund Pettus Bridge at sunset was extraordinary. Had problem with AC the first night; Beth got right on it and had HVAC people there and problem fixed before 9 a.m. the next day, even though it was the weekend. Fans in the meantime kept me cool enough. They were good about answering questions, and always pleasant. If I ever return to Selma, I want to stay at the Bridge Tender's House again. If you go, don't miss photos in bedroom that show the original bridge that the tender tended. One photo shows edge of front porch of the house, practically on top of the bridge. Another is wording of newspaper article cautioning people to not drive or ride their horse across the original bridge at any speed faster than a walk. Tender had authority to arrest people who violated that local law.

Location location location! Only minutes to downtown attractions and major museums. A lovely and cozy place with a great host - Thank you for the recommendations!

We had a very pleasant stay at Gary's place. Gary responded quickly and informatively to all our messages and the check in instructions were clear and simple. The place itself looks even better in person than in the pictures and is ideally located for exploring by foot the main museums as well as the river walk. We had a great time and are grateful for the wonderful experience.

Great old place with nice updates! Really tight driveway for my truck but it fit, and there was plenty of room to park and maneuver once behind the house. The bed was very comfortable. There was no hair dryer in the unit I stayed in (just an FYI for anyone that uses one). The bathtub was very comfortable to soak in. Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to extend my stay by one night and they were quick to respond and very accommodating. I look forward to staying here again my next trip to Montgomery.

My son and his dog are the ones who stayed there, but he said it was a great place and liked the location.

A Truly Enchanting Stay at the Zelda Suite Our stay at the Zelda Suite at the Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum was nothing short of magical. Waking up in a room that echoed the spirit of Zelda from the 1930’s was an unforgettable experience. The decor captures the essence of its history, allowing guests to feel a connection to the past along with learning more about the Fitzgeralds, their friends and families, and Montgomery. The museum itself is a treasure trove of fascinating insights into the lives of the Fitzgeralds. I can’t wait for a return visit for a stay in the “Scott” suite. I highly recommend this unique Airbnb for anyone looking to immerse themselves in literary history and enjoy a cozy, whimsical getaway. Truly a gem!
