Boutique Fisherman’s Cottage - 2 mins from beach

NaomiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had not been to the area before but were delighted with the accommodation and with Cullercoats. The cottage was stylish and luxurious, ticking all the boxes for a really comfortable bed, great shower, well-equipped, excellent kitchen and everything you needed for a short stay or a longer one. The upstairs ensuite bedroom had a lovely sea view and was really peaceful. The downstairs double room and separate bathroom were practical as we had family visiting. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the location was superb - the cottage was minutes from the beach, a small supermarket and the Metro. You could walk from the door into Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. The beach was excellent and we swam in the sea. The coastal pathway between Whitley Bay and North Shields with its separate cycle lanes will be a wonderful asset and parts of it are already completed. We settled in really well and very quickly and were a bit sad to leave. Thank you to Vikki.

Warksburn Old Church: Style & Sustainability

GillyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Warksburn Old Church is an incredibly special place. Recently renovated, this unique property features a state-of-the-art interior surrounded by the stunning stone and stained glass windows of the original 19th-century church. The tasteful decor has the vibe of a boutique hotel complete with luxurious and thoughtful details throughout. The spacious kitchen is perfectly equipped and if you don’t feel like cooking, there is a great pub restaurant in walking distance. We were warmly welcomed by owners Anne and Alan who were extremely helpful in guiding us through the house and giving us valuable tips for the local area. We were a party of five, including a small child and were very comfortable throughout our stay. This property is a peaceful and calm haven and makes for an ideal base from which to explore the stunning scenery and Roman remains of Northumberland. Highly recommend!

Manor House Byre

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Would highly recommend a stay here - the Byre was beautifully decorated, clean and easy to find. It was perfect for working remotely and exploring the area by car. The location is easy to reach from Hexham and is set in a quiet village close to Kielder and the Scottish Borders. Kristen was also welcoming and friendly.

Cosy Cottage ideal for Explorers & City Escapers

MelissaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The Parlour was comfortable and homey. It was originally a milking parkour that has been remodeled into a wonderful place to stay. It has a loft for kids that made me wish I was ten again. Kids would love it! We enjoyed the downstairs with the spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. We cooked our meals in the well outfitted kitchen. The living and dining room was relaxing and inviting. We appreciated the beer and prosecco in the welcome basket. I mentioned that I had hurt my knee, and Claire stopped by with hiking poles I could use. So thoughtful and kind. We enjoyed our time visiting sites along Hadrian’s Wall. This was an ideal base for that.

The View: idyllic and remote off-grid cabin

WillRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Stunning. Perfect accommodation in the perfect setting. Off-grid but still extremely comfortable. Attention to detail and provision of both information, instructions and all the equipment. The best couple of nights away anywhere. The description captured the place perfectly and from instructions to arrival to departure it was an idyllic and perfect stay.

Foxtail at Beacon Hill Farm & Spa

MarthaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Shepherds Hut was exactly as described and seen on the photos and felt luxurious, with thoughtful attention to detail. Chris was very helpful and welcoming. We self catered a fair bit and found everything we could have needed already there. The Hut is well kitted out - down to a bluetooth speaker and wifi is very reliable. We enjoyed the Spa, which is within walking distance.. the croquet 'lawn'.. table tennis and pool. We had planned to build a fire in the 40 Acre Wood and have a cooked breakfast but it was it was a bit windy and drizzling on and off so built a fire in the firepit outside the Hut and cooked on there instead! Because we were booked in on the weekend we could leave anytime on the Sunday which created a feeling of spaciousness! It was a perfect place for us. We love being together and had access to the spa and fun things we wouldn't usually have at home! We d occasionally We d occasionally pass other folk en route to somewhere but it always felt friendly
