It beats hotel life and is fully stocked with everything you'll need. A nice walk to McCormick park, or to historic downtown Saint Helen's, on the Cloumbia River. Lots of unique local shops to browse and restaurants. A local fishing and river guide is available. Nearby Scappoose Bay Kayaking offers many opportunities to sightsee, kayak or bird watch.

The harbor, where sailboats can be seen bobbing in the marina, is also a short walk, where Sand Island can be visited via the free water taxi. Looking back at the gray cliffs just as Lewis & Clark did when they first sailed up the Columbia River, you can just feel the history in this area.

Also, we are just one block away from the entrance to Salmon Creek Trail; a popular 7-mile round-trip paved pathway. Our studio apartment is located above a detached garage with a separate entrance. and is in a small neighborhood on a dead-end street - very private and quiet!

The Bunk House

The Bunk House is the perfect place to slow down, unwind and reset! Inside, you’ll find a cozy queen bed, air conditioner, electric fireplace, kitchen area, sink, bottled water, microwave, mini fridge, electric kettle, and everything you need for simple meals. Outside, relax around the wood-burning or propane fire pit, or cook on the propane camp stove and/or grill. No indoor plumbing. A private porta-potty (heated in colder months) and a seasonal outdoor shower.
