Excellent stay! The house is very nice, even better than the photographs show. Pedro and his father, Mr. Manuel, are very friendly and very attentive hosts. Mr. Manuel, who welcomed us and even left us a wonderful bread for breakfast the next morning. The house is in a very quiet and peaceful place, fully equipped with everything we need. Comfortable beds. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters. extremely hot weekend, it was always cool. During the day, the outdoor space by the pool with sun loungers, a hat and a pergola area for dining is perfect. In the morning and at night (with a citronella candle and some repellent) the floral pergola area in front of the house was all we needed to enjoy the weekend. It is 40 minutes from the beaches of Melides, Aberta Nova, Pego and Carvalhal, and 10 minutes from Alcácer do Sal where there is everything we need, restaurants and supermarkets.

Our stay was incredible—totally private with spectacular design and peaceful, beautiful surroundings. Catarina and Rodrigo are amazing hosts, and Marina went above and beyond to make us comfortable and to help us out. We stayed during the power outage of whole of Portugal and Spain and the hosts and Marina really helped us throughout this. They communicated what they knew and helped us with onward plans! Don’t miss a massage with Patricia—it was a highlight. Highly recommend and definitely would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay! The house is extremely welcoming, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with all the items we needed to make us feel at home. The outdoor area and pool are fantastic and we were still surprised by a little welcome treat, which made all the difference. Highly recommend and hope to return soon!

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

François’ place was super relaxing and very comfortable. It was well situated for exploring Lisbon and surrounding area by car and only 20 minutes from the beach. It’s just like the pictures and he is a very responsive and helpful host. I strongly recommend as one of the best places I’ve stayed.

Absolutely gorgeous and very well equipped house with a lovely pool in a nice quarter not far from Comporta. Beautiful surroundings (trees/forest right behind the house) and close to the beach. Margarida was always responsive and happy to provide us with information and help. Thanks again for letting us stay here Margarida!

Our stay with José was completely successful! The place was beautiful and the view of the horse meadow was simply fantastic. We especially liked the lovingly arranged breakfast basket in the morning – a great touch! Helping with the feeding of the animals was also a real highlight, especially for nature lovers. The possibility of taking small hikes over horse and cow meadows rounded off our stay perfectly. We felt very comfortable and will definitely be back when we are in the area!

We had a wonderful stay! Just a short summary of pros and cons: + Antonio and Maria were great hosts - communication and help was excellent when needed. They brought fresh bread every morning which means less driving to the next town as a guest - fantastic! The house has an amazing view. which is almost unbeatable. The neighborhood is calm with no hotels/noise. - Compared to the fotos it was a bit smaller and older/with signs of normal use than we expected, but of course its sometimes difficult to tell by pictures. Since its southern Europe, be prepared for some insects (has nothing to do with the accommodation but might be helpful to know) - but Antonio and Maria had us prepared with some mosquito repellents and insecticide sprays. The lower bathroom has a strange smell when the drain hasn't been used regulary - but Antonio offered help immediately after we wold him and eventually it improved . All in all a great stay just with some small hints you should know - thank you again!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ahua Portugal, where our host Anne guided us with thoughtful local tips and quick responses. Nestled on a peaceful hillside above Seixe Valley, the modern house had every comfort we needed and felt like the perfect retreat. We were deeply inspired by Anne’s dedication to the land. She has led a reforestation project across her 18-hectare estate, planting over 30,000 cork trees to restore the forest after wildfires. Tip: Do plan to bring a reliable car. The unpaved access roads are best navigated with a vehicle that has good clearance. If you’re seeking a serene, private getaway with a caring, responsive host deeply connected to her land, Ahua Portugal is an exceptional choice! Five stars all the way, and thank you, Anne!

Tiago is a great host. The house has great conditions, it is very beautiful, totally renovated, with all the necessary utensils and the location is perfect for a weekend in the calm of the Alentejo.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa da Falesia. We were welcomed to the house by Renato and his wife. They were extremely helpful, explaining all the house details and giving us advice about the surroundings, places to visit, where to eat (we went 3 times to Tia Rosa) and buy essentials . The house is fully equipped, and even if there is no air conditioning, it kept cool and comfortable the whole stay, even if the temperatures outside were quite high (32C). The beach is three minutes away, by walk, accessible by a stair that goes down an amazing cliff, resembling a star wars scenery. The location was perfect for us, as it allow us to do some birding excursions at the trails of Lagoa de Sto André, and to the bird observation tower at Praia de Melides. It’s also close to Comporta, where you can find some nice designer shops (even if quite expensive), and Troia, where you can find a beautiful beach, where swimming is less challenging. We do hope to return one day.

It was one of the best stays I've had, we plan to return. We were a group of 8 couples and two children, we had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Susana's house has everything you need, and we didn't even know we needed, for a spectacular stay. One of the details we valued a lot was the availability of glasses/wine glasses for the pool/outdoor area. The property was super clean and has shaded parking. The house has towels for the pool and the kitchen is fully equipped. Susana has prepared a list of recommendations for restaurants, beaches, chefs who come to the house... Spectacular attention, thank you! The one who received us was Mrs. Sónia, who is a lovely person, to whom I thank very much for her kindness and attention. Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

We had a fantastic stay at this property. Loved the terrace, it was ideal for meals outside and an evening playing board games. Great location as well with plenty to do in the nearby area.

We loved our stay at Gonçalo's place. Beautiful, tranquil and chic, the space was the perfect hideaway for our vacation in Comporta. Close to all the beaches, restaurants and everything the area has to offer. The large, lofty and airy space is tastefully decorated with beautiful artwork, lovely furniture and small touches. The large eating and many sitting areas inside and out offered lots of options to lounge, relax, read a book or nap. Notably, Gonçalo is a cool and interesting guy. He gave us insider recommendations for hidden beaches we would have never discovered on our own. A special treat was Gonçalo's assistant Inês who made our stay incredible. She welcomed us warmly, took care of small requests, offered advice on local restaurants, and even hand picked fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden! Thank you Inês for making us feel at home! Highly recommend staying here if your looking for a chic and designer space in Comporta.

Incredible stay in Comporta in this beautiful typical cabin. The pictures are not deceiving, the house is even more beautiful in real life, the exteriors are magnificent, the garden is very well maintained and the jasmine is exceptional!

Highly recommend this place! It was exactly what we needed for a friends’ trip; everyone had their own bedroom with a bathroom, kitchenette and balcony! The location is amazing — rural, quiet, beautiful — but only 40 mins away from some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. The hosts were so friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed. I’d book again in a heartbeat!

We were overwhelmed by the accommodation! Everything was very clean, the amenities were great, we didn't miss anything! The outdoor area is the highlight from our point of view, a beautiful pool with two cozy loungers, the ambience outside is wonderful and beautifully decorated. We were able to relax superbly! The communication was also very good and very courteous. Absolutely recommended!

David's place in Odeceixe is sublime. we had the best time here with our small daughter using the pool and the bbq and enjoying the stunning local beaches. We will definitely come back again

The Lemon Lodge is tucked away in the mountains, providing a lovely and peaceful retreat away from the main bustle. That serenity comes with the trade-off of being a nice drive away from town up some challenging roads but you can get the hang of it after once or twice. Definitely need a rental car, mid-size is even better. The house itself is stunning and really well designed. Kitchen has everything you need. We cooked a lot on the grill in the back. Would have liked screens on the windows to let some fresh air in, as bugs up there can be tricky.
