Cottage holiday rentals in Sandy Hook

Firefly is an unbelievable view out into the Daniel Boone National Forest. The bunk rooms had plenty of space for all to sleep and the amenities were fabulous. The back multi level porch was great for social gathering as well as turning your brain off in the morning and just enjoying the sounds emanating from the hills. Harry and Jill were very responsive to our messages and provided great insight into taking the right roads to get to Firefly! Looking forward to our next visit!

I was looking for a place just like this one to get my my mind away from the stress and the city , I needed piece of my mind and here I found just that . Away from all the chaos of life . I will definitely come back here to get my mind reset .

I stayed here with my 3 boys aged 10,9,8 years old with my pup in training and service pup for 4 nights and 3 days. We were visiting family for my brothers Memorial Day services at his resting place. I came there exhausted from Oak Grove KY the day my boys got out of school for summer break. I left there with energy and a new kind of love. It’s definitely what is says and it is what it is ;) Dog friendly with a hot tub Thank you

This was a great place to stay with plenty of room with 3 kids under 6. We were there to go on hikes and were able to get to several trails all within 20-25 minutes from the cottage.

I had nothing but an amazing time with my family here! it was great! we had a pool table, a arcade system, TV, and an amazing hottub! House was clean as heck! it was a perfect stay for my family and I and was close to my family that I was helping! Definitely recommend coming here! it's not a bad drive at all. high recommendation!

Such an easily accessible place—we were visiting family, and while the area is very remote, it’s also a quick-ish trip to Grundy, Pikeville, and our family in Feds Creek. Kids had a great time with plenty of space to be outside, and a firepit for s’mores. Beautiful view in the morning of the deer on the golf course.

We have stayed here several times and each time it’s great and feels like home the minute you walk in. We find it hard to leave. Very comfortable beds and furniture and everything you need is there. We know we will definitely return. Also being pet friendly makes it that much better. Rates are very reasonable. We like to go spend the day hiking RRG or go to see the free roaming horses off of 476 on Flint Ridge. It’s nice to relax and enjoy.

It was so close to the relatives we were visiting! Plenty of room, arcade game, ping pong table. All great when weathers not so great to keep you occupied. Only place I’ll be staying at when we’re in town for family get together ❣️

Very quiet and rustic. Convenient for Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park hiking which is what we were there for. If you get to the State Park resort the tavern has good beer and excellent Bourbon flights after your hike.

Wonderful, wonderful host. I was in West Virginia to scatter my amazing Mom's ashes, and this space had plenty of room for family to gather, remember, mourn, and laugh about our shared love for my Mom. Thanks, Talisha - you provided a beautiful, peaceful spot for a very, very difficult time.

Perfect place to participate jn the Blackberry Half Marathon!

We stayed here for a weekend while visiting with family. The cottage is adorable! We loved everything about it, inside and out. We loved being able to look out our window and see horses feeding, cows grazing, and the most beautiful birds flying by. We would definitely return here!

Chad was a wonderful host! Highly recommend! Beautiful views, tons of wildlife, and beautiful sunsets.

Very cute home with all the furnishings! The view outside was beautiful and we loved the rural feel. This place really made our stay at the Red River Gorge very relaxing after a long day of hiking.

Cindy is a great host. Have stayed at her place several times over the years and have always had a great experience. Responsive and helpful when needed for assistance or questions about the property. Cindy and Matt are integrated into the climbing community in the gorge, which we value as fellow climbers.

This Airbnb is gorgeous! We really enjoyed staying here. Danielle is the sweetest and the tiny house was top notch! If you forgot something, I can assure you, it is there for your convenience! I’m very picky about where I stay and I felt right at home here! It’s very clean! I loved the location! Danielle is an awesome host! The only regret I have is, I wish we could have stayed longer!

This home was perfect for our stay for the high school trap meet which was being held only a couple miles down the road. Patty was friendly and we appreciated her family's story. We plan to book again for the state trap meet.
