Foxy's Beach Resort

EduardoRating, 5 stars99 months ago
Very good stay. Perfect with our son 6 y.o. Hosts, Brian and Michelle, really nice, kind and helpful. Perfect place in a beautiful beach environment. Spent hours relaxing in sea, all the long beach for us alone. Kayak available for free, great paddling trip with the kid. Swimming pool big and clean enough. Apartment with two bedrooms, very comfortable and just a couple of minor details to improve, but just spent most of the time outside. Breakfast included very complete. No places around the complex for having lunch or dinner. For lunch they can provide a basic meal at a fair price and for dinner it's necessary to go to Poblacion, a small coastal neighborhood in San Vicente, 3 km away from the complex. Transportation from Foxy's is anyway available. To get there from Puerto Princesa or from El Nido is possible by minivan, you need to contact them previously. We didn't use it, instead, we arrived from El Nido by a bus that dropped us in the junction and from there managed to find a tricycle driver who gave us a funny ride to Foxy's. 2 days of top relax. Very advisable if you want to be in something similar to the last paradise but if you look for a typical holidays town with shops, restaurants and so on, this is not your place. Foxy's is in a future developing area (new airport to be finished soon, more resorts) so take the chance to go to Foxy's if you can before this little natural paradise will be gone.

PISCES Tourist Inn, Port Barton (private fan room)

This is in a great location, and the host family were very kind and helpful. There some small things about the unit - it's a little small, and the bathroom isn't so great, but overall I really liked it and would recommend.

Cubbys big room 3

We planned to stay for one week first, but extended for another through Airbnb, as we could then pay with card. Jane and her family were really helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. The room is spacious and fresh and we enjoyed the hot water thermo and instant coffee every morning (the hot water was also useful for taking a hot shower). Jane also helped us with rental of a scooter and our laundry. The location is great, one block from the beach and close to restaurants and everything, but quiet at night.

Private family room with beach front

Wauw. Talking about hidden gems. This place is it. Mecaja is a tiny village in itself. The peacefull rhythm of the days is wonderful. You wake up beachfront with a gorgeous sunrise, the little boat in a distance gently rocking tiny waves. Barefooted you stroll to the restaurant with the friendliest staff where you have the choice of Breakfast; Philippino, omelette or pancakes. After that, you make the day as intense as you want, Mecaja offers diving, island hopping, fishing with local fishermen, and more. As for us, we just stayed and chilled, had a swim, a walk on the beach, played with Sunny the dog. The internet is good, so also working remotely is very super doable here. At night the tiny village comes alive as everyone returns from their adventures and enjoys the evening meal. With 10 cabanas, it's never busy, but the hustle and bustle of the evening is nice. When we were there, people were very approachable for smalltalk, and also totally fine to keep to yourself.

Jeno Tourist Inn budget room

OdileRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Two steps from the bus and van terminal. I was in the ground floor room so I didn't have the view mentioned in some reviews. However, the outdoor space faces a pretty hedge of tropical vegetation, ideal for savoring my morning cup of tea thanks to the thermos of hot water provided by Samuel. Linens and towels were changed after 2 days of stay. Excellent wifi and powerful fan.
