Holiday rentals with a fire pit in San José Province

We only stayed the night here before our flight the next day. Sirlene was a great host and reached out to us well in advance with information and made sure we were comfortable when we arrived. She offered us fresh eggs from her farm. The home is in a unique location. It feels really private although it’s right in the city and close to the airport. I feel like this place is a fantastic value and was a very nice place to stay. I definitely recommend staying here.

This home over exceeded our expectations. What an amazing stay, along with the pool and property maintenance. It was a surprise trip for my girlfriend and 9 month old son which I had plans to purpose a few days after, which went absolutely perfect. 5 stars across the board! Highly HIGHLY recommend! We had an amazing time at this beautiful home tucked into the jungle. The setting is very serene, with the sound of the river always in the background and the plethora of wildlife all around. The bed was very comfy, so a good nights rest was practically guaranteed. There are a few things I would note for anyone considering the home, especially if this is your first visit to the area. It is a 10+ minute rocky drive to the home off the main road, not a big deal with a sturdy car. Especially during rainy season, there’s a good chance you’ll lose power at some point, but seems to be restored quickly. Most places, including this home, discouraged you from flushing toilet paper, an adjustment from home. Being that this place is so small, there’s not a ton of privacy between the bathroom and bedroom, and the living area is not meant for lounging. That’s what the outdoor spaces are for! This was an experience unlike any other we’ve had in our previous visits to CR, I highly recommend it!

Truly an incredible, quiet, peaceful Costa Rican experience. Great for families, especially those with younger children- space to run and play, stocked with toys, and -a true treasure in CR- has a more powerful washer and dryer for “resetting” if you’re on a longer trip and need fresh clean clothes. The road in takes courage and potentially a 4x4 if you’re not used to driving the terrain like a Tico. Hosts are among the top 1% of all AirBnB hosts globally- intuitive, clean, accommodating, extremely well organized. Cooler weather and fewer mosquitoes than in other areas of the country. Best stay we have had in many trips to the area- thank you!

Our stay was great! This modern house is in a great peaceful location. We saw many birds right on the property, and the views from the front porch are amazing! The space heaters made our stay comfortable on the cool nights. I made it up the lane in a Nissan Sentra, although when it rains the last few meters are a bit slippery. If you have experience on rough roads you will be on with an automobile, although a 4x4 is ideal. Koen was always responsive and super friendly and helpful! I can definitely recommend this place and hope to go back someday!

Our stay at this condo was truly unforgettable! The space is just as beautiful as the listing shows—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The view from the condo was absolutely breathtaking; we found ourselves soaking it in every morning and evening. We loved the convenience of having several great restaurants just a short walk across the street, which made dining out easy and stress-free. The area felt very safe, and getting around was simple with easy access to transportation. What really made our experience stand out was the host. They were incredibly responsive, checked in to make sure we were comfortable, and gave us wonderful suggestions that helped us make the most of our time in Costa Rica. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area—and without a doubt, we would stay here again. 🇨🇷 PURA VIDA!

Remote location with beautiful views, perfect for escaping from the city. Surrounded by nature and cold weather. Hosts are available for any need. You can get there by car and it's best to move to nearby supermarkets.

Excellent apartment and location is perfect. Walking distance you have restaurants and bars.

Amazing place to stay

Great apartment to stay in the center of Escalante. The building is very new so the apartment is in great condition and has a great style. Very short walk to many restaurants and cafe’s but fairly quiet location. Great views!

This place was clean and comfortable. If you’re looking to go to the closest national park it’s about 30 minutes. Airbnb is about 20 min from airport. The host was super responsive. Some food spots across the street. Very tight security I love that. Uber is very accessible.

Esteban was extremely helpful. The place was immaculate. Will be staying there again when I go back to Costa Rica.

They saved us. Very kind, they even came to look for us after we got lost.

My wife and i spent one night of our honeymoon at Ronan's b&b and we had a great evening. The jacuzzi tub and movie screen was very relaxing after a long day. The birds and hummingbirds were beautiful to watch and listen too. I highly recommend this host as everything was clean and set up nice. Local restaurants also deliver which was a bonus. WIll definitely return in the future.

We stayed at this cabin over the weekend and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin is super equipped, it lacks absolutely nothing, and everything is arranged with great pleasure and care. It is beautiful, cozy and very comfortable. What we enjoyed most was the huge green space surrounding the cabin: ideal for resting, taking in fresh air and especially perfect for children to play freely. My baby was very happy, and that is priceless. Definitely a place we want to go back to. Highly recommended for families looking for tranquility and connection with nature without sacrificing comfort!

The cabin surprised us for the better, it far exceeded our expectations and I would stay here again without a doubt. The weather is beautiful, the fireplace is perfect for those cold nights and everything was actually very good.

We loved the place, just like in the pictures and the place has a unique mystique. We were a group of 8 and everything was amazing. There was very fluid musical composition, the acoustics were good and progressed better than previously thought, everything in general felt very pleasant
