Altar of the Mountains

This traditional Oaxacan house, that has four beds, was handcrafted by local artisans in exquisite adobe walls, a shading porch, furnishings and decor. It nestles in gardens of trees and blooming succulents. Guests enjoy multiple level terraces, hammocks, an outside dining area, a 22-meter lap pool and spectacular mountain views. We are in a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and have easy transportation to Oaxaca city (20 minutes). We offer tours to villages and archaeological sites.

There are two bedrooms with queen beds and ceiling fans, and two full bathrooms. The view of the city and Soledad Church from the private rooftop terrace is breathtaking, and if you look in the right direction you can see Monte Albán. All kinds of public transportation pass by on the road: bus, van, or taxi.
