Perched on top of a hill in the countryside between Bologna and Modena, this lodge is a great location for exploring the area. It's a peaceful place, with panoramic views and the convenience of having excellent local restaurants (& wine makers) nearby. Our house is Napoleon-era country home, in a wild and isolated area of the Apennines, only 21 KM from the A14 motorway and 50 minutes from Bologna. This is the very point where Emilia, Romagna and Tuscany merge. The original name of the house is "Bell'Isola", "Beautiful Island". After 5 minutes here, you will understand why.
