Once upon a time

Within the walls of Mornico Losana castle, you will find a small love nest for a holiday in the midst of nature surrounded by many animals and flowers. In a romantic setting, you will be greeted with cordiality and discretion. It'll be like taking a dip into the past. The "grandmother's house" adapted to our times. Located in the heart of the historic center, a stone's throw from the central De Ferrari square, on the top floor of an ancient Genoese building, the attic, recently renovated, was built with the mainmast of a sailing ship. With its terrace it offers a breathtaking view over the typical slate roofs, the towers and the bell towers of the old city. Ideal for a couple, it can accomodate up to five people thanks to a wide convertible sofa and a restored ancient ottoman sofa bed.

Our house is located in the middle of the medieval village of Tagliolo Monferrato, surrounded by vineyards and mountains. The Ligurian Riviera is 30 minutes away by car. Barolo & Langhe is famous for wine lovers. It takes about 50 minutes by car to get to the old harbour of Genoa (Genova). Every morning you can have breakfast at a local bar and get a true Italian feel with a cappu and croissant. (20m from the building) Free parking on the street or nearby parking lot.

Borgo Sfogliata - Grandpa's house - Mornico Losana

It is an ancient building dating back to the end of the 1800s, completely renovated in all its parts, respecting the structure of the period, just completed. The bedroom, with exposed beams, is very charming, has a balcony that allows a spectacular view of the plain on one side and the hills on the other. In the living room, the period wood-burning fireplace has been preserved and in the adjacent woodshed, you will find firewood.
