Holiday houses in Sala backe

We stayed at Kalle’s place in 8 - 2 families with teenagers. The house was perfect, the kids enjoyed the pool and the SUP (as well as we did!). Great evenings on the terrace and at the fireplace, barbecues every night… Kalle is an excellent host, extremely helpful, full of resources and advice. He suggested a concert in the neighborhood, a swimming sauna and boat trip which we enjoyed a lot! We found ourselves part of a neighborhood of very welcoming people. Alternating visits of Stockholm and days by/on the water was ideal for our group and nearby Waxholm is a great starting point for exploring the arcipelago. We strongly recommend the place and were very sorry to leave!

Had a great stay, was a very private feel. Host responded very quickly and was accommodating to requests. Cleaning instructions could have been clearer but overall great communication.

Jenny's home is wonderful, a little oasis, beautiful, peaceful setting with the water so close and a delight to swim in with the sauna to get warm after. There are so many places to sit and admire the view, chill and recharge. Very easy to catch the ferry to Stockholm and Uber back after a tasty meal and glass or 2. The house has everything you need and Jenny is very helpful if you need anything. Local shops less than 10 minutes drive away. This home is so much more than the photos show. Stay you'll love it.

A beautifully restored traditional home, sympathetically incorporating the home's history whilst providing all the modern amenities. Ample room for a family of four in the main house, though our teens loved the additional mini-home and described it as warm and cosy. The peaceful garden was perfect for star gazing and lazy breakfasts. A really tranquil location for exploring the area and Jacob's recommendations were top notch. Vaxholm is just 10mins away and Jacob recommended where to park, what to see and places to eat. Thank you Jacob and family for such a wonderful stay, we only wish we could have stayed longer.

The house is located in the Uppsala / Stockholm area (40 min by train) yet completely rural. The furnishings leave nothing to be desired, and from the hot tub you can look into the Swedish countryside.

The house is fantastic and Storholmen is a lovely place. We used the terrace by the beach a lot and the house has everything you need. We had three children with us and they also had a lovely holiday. However, you should be aware that you have to take everything with you as you can't buy anything on the island, but parking at Mama Annas Brygga works perfectly. The only thing we were missing was the evening sun.
